Thanks for reacting to QWER! Discord was their debut song, but had a lukewarm reaction when it first came out (didn't make it into top200 on the music charts). But they slowly gained recognition over time, and then their next song T.B.H (the first song that you reacted to) blew up in Korea and hasn't left the top10 across all music platforms for 3 months and counting. So they're very popular in Korea now, but relatively unknown elsewhere. I made a QWER guide video in English recently, so you can check that out if you're interested in learning more about the band and its members :)
Ah debut songs are hard when groups have a sound that's not super popular. I don't know if Korea has come around to the more jrock sound yet 😔 but it sounds like QWER is finding its audience! That's awesome! I didn't realize they were that new until I looked into "Discord"
@@DreamiesLonelyDreamer Japanese pop culture in general is very popular in Korea nowadays. It seems to have rid itself of the niche/subculture label sometime between the start of Covid and the present day. QWER came out at the perfect time to ride that wave, with its Jrock/Jpop & anime inspired songs and themes. Its also the first time a girl band entered the mainstream in recent history (20+ years), so it will be exciting to see their journey, as this is just their beginning :)
