3:48 when I first saw Sigma, he instantly reminded me of Magneto, in terms of character appearance and abilities. Both characters float, and both characters can manipulate some form of matter.
Seeing that he is a hybrid of Sigma and Zarya when I first played him two of my favorite tanks from Overwatch got me so hyped. Being rewarded with extra damage/utility from taking damage with your personal/ally bubble. Absolutely insane ult that works like sigma suck that can eat projectiles that buff the overall damage of the mag meteor. Love the combo with scarlet witch too for the greatsword Very nostalgic with Ow1 Zarya where you had to pick between bubbling yourself or an ally with no extra bubble or ability sharing like she has now in Ow2. 15:04 think Adam Warlock should be a honorable mention. His neutral is very similar to Zen where he can do high damage....charge a volley of shots....and has no true escape if he gets dove. I'd argue and say that he's closer to zen than mantis is.
coming from someone who mained zen in ow, I find myself more drawn towards Adam over Mantis simply because of the high DPS out I can put out on him from the strategist role. But I can see why Mantis would also be seen as a similar option.
@@Intruseidk the playstyle of zen is attack and keep an eye on teammates for when they’re low. That very much closer to adam as neither have strong heals but can obliterate enemies with either primary headshots or alt fire

She’s like lifeweaver on crack basically. Auto aim healing AND damaging with no charge, moira’s mobility (worse, but similar), and insane amount of heals and damage on top of that. I’ve been on a couple games as a solo sustain, and holy fuck she’s amazing.
I’d also include Mantis as a parallel to Kiri. Her primary attack feels similar and headshots are rewarding for her kit. Her healing also tracks whomever you were targeting
@@ConyTrash Her kit is about having a radius around her that buffs the people around her, and she has to switch between them while being very mobile. One of them is even a speed boost. That is literally Lucio.
As someone who used to really like Symmetra in Overwatch, ive actually found a home in Moon Knight. While the ankhs don't operate on their own, placing them feels to me like it draws on the same skillset of setting up Symm's turrets; At least, thats how ive been playing it.
i know it's because Overwatch is the more popular game but the way is see it, Marvel Rivals is so much more similar to Paladins, especially with the way they handle the roles
I’d include Luna Snow as a Zen parallel. She can add an “orb” to any ally which will heal them whenever she heals other teammates. She also has a Zen-like ultimate.
Ermm, comparing Doomfist to Ironfish is ok, but Doomfist is FAR more Captain America. Dive in with Shield Jump -> use "Block" with shield -> smash them with shield from midrange like Doom's spread gun.
As a Brig otp i really like the Mantis playstyle of going in with my dps when they need to just go wild n Kill Everything. her ability is even called "Inspire"!
as an old Zenyatta main I would add Adam Warlock because the way they fire is identical, both primary and charged shots. Also both have a point and click heal
As a Moira main (Support anyhow) I actually dont like playing Scarlet witch at all, shes boring to me, when I play Moira I balance my heals and damage if I can, for me, Cloak and Dagger is more similar to Moira so im glad you also added then as they have become my Strategist main in Rivals
As a D.va main I was on Peni Parker Instantly, I love how her character works and the abilities are certainly unique! Maining her at the moment but we'll see if anything changes hehe
If you like Brig I would recommend Mantis over Adam Warlock. Her healing works exactly like repair packs; you have charges that you can send out to heal someone for a small burst followed by a heal over time. She's also good at fending off flanks, though it's through a different method than Brig.
Yeah, I'd have to agree with @kooberry. Personally, as a Mercy main, I felt way more at home with Jeff than with Dagger, because of his unique movement, and his healing spit kinda has a similar usage to Mercy's heal beam, but at a much longer range.
As a ball main playing venom is nothing like ball imo. He just doesnt do what ball does best. Annoying the hell out of the enemies from constant flanks. Venom doesnt get the main thing that makes wrecking ball what it is, SPEED. The swing is also completely different imo.
As an Ana main I clicked this video curious to see what you'd recommend and turns out that the two heroes you recommended are the ones I have been playing so far XD so 10/10 on your analysis
Ok so we're just going to forget loki exists? Ana heal or damage, permanent invis like sombra, ilterally echo's ult but 100x better, bap immortality field but better, reaper tp basically.
10:54 Yeah as an Ana/Kiri/Juno main (with most playtime in Ana), I actually naturally gravitated to Luna. It’s the first character I wanted to try. The damage/healing shooting mechanic, the similar healing per second, and the freeze ability being a shorter duration equivalent to sleep dart really feel good to me.
I think Sombra is a little more like Loki. Both have invisibility and teleportation to assassinate the enemies backline. You could also say that Loki is little bit like torb and sym since his clones act like turrets
@@6lemonjuice9To flank but leave a clone in the backline to help his team in a pinch, Peak design in my opinion I always love trickster characters that benefit from mindgames and the enemy havin' a brain👌🏾
for Bap, id actually recommend Mantis as her tempo more closely resembles his. And if you like his immortality field, Loki has an ability that basically makes a lamp over all of his clones
I was wondering why I was easily learning venom and thought it might be because of maining winston, since dive, attack backline, get out, but you made me realize it was actually because of my brief stint in playing ball for a while. I even found myself doing the yeatle strat of hiding for a bit behind corners before diving in. Amazing how easily transferrable skills are.
for lucio players id actually say storm has some similarities. pretty good mobility and abilities to either speed up your team or increase their dmg. its not a 1:1 comparison but i think it’s worthwhile.
imo Storm is a good Lucio alternative, given that she has a constant aura that can switch between giving either speed or damage boost to nearby allies, and even has an "Amp It Up" esque ability that temporarily buffs the aura's effects (and even debuffs/damages enemies in the aura as well!)
I'd say Cloak is a lot like Zenyatta too since he has that one E ability that increases the damage the affected enemy(s) receives from you and allies similar to Discord orb.
I'd say Mantis is also quite similar to Mercy or Zen since she can damage boost allies like mercy and be a high damage dealer like Zen Also Jeff's healing spray is practically identical to Moira's. Not to mention they both throw out healing orbs/bubbles
I'd add that old-school, OW1 Orisa fans might like Peni. I stopped playing Orisa at OW2 but I loved her in OW1, and Peni reminds me of the 'Grab a zone, hold, and push' playstyle of old Orisa.
Orisa mains (no one) would find peni parker to be enjoyable because javelin throws are comparable to peni’s webs when shooting them at people to immobilize them
As a Doomfist main I play Magik something about the heavy hits, combos, and ability to get in and out. How if you’re against two tanks you can be in the main fight otherwise you can flank and take easy picks.
I want to add that rocket raccoon plays a lot like Lucio, both characters are highly mobile with small hitboxes who can carry team fights from time to time
I would say us Mercy mains would feel right at home with Jeff, because: A) He'll probably get a metric fuckton of Skins. B) His healing spit has an even longer distance than Mercy's heal beam so you can chill in the back line and heal your tank without needing to be in a lot of danger. C) He has (probably) the best movement in the game with his swim that allows him to sort of replicate Guardian Angel's movement speed, especially since, just like Mercy's GA, the swim takes a couple milliseconds to actually get him "underwater."
Starlord is actually really good, if you are good at tracer you can definently dominate some people on him. also, the starlord right click resets your ammo (right click or wtv makes you jump and is a mini tracer dash) which makes dominating backlines even more deadly. Oh also his guns are a straight laser beam, recoil basically doesnt exist
Honestly, Spider-Man reminds me more of Doomfist. His mobility is more insane than Genji's, and if we're counting OW1 Doom, the uppercut is the icing on the cake. Psy and Panther are literal Genji incarnate. I prefer Psy to Panther as she is my main, but I might give Panther a try. He's really not as difficult as people hype him up to be, but then again, I do love complex characters and they just come easy to me.
I would say Ana is more similar to Mantis due to the sleep, healing and damage buffs (nanoboost). And after playing a lot of lucio I would say storm and jeff are more similar to him. Storm's passive is literally lucio's passive, but instead of healing, it damages boosts, and Jeff's mobility underwater, dps potential if u have luna snow on the team and being able to throw enemies off the map is very similar to the reddit lucio archetype
3:21 I really hope they add a tank with a hook as that's by far my favourite archetype in Hero Shooters/MoBAs (Roadhog, Sylvanus, Makoa, Riktor, etc). I've never been a DPS guy so WS doesn't interest me in the slightest unfortunately. Hope someone like Mr Fantastic, Omega Red, or Sandman could take up that archetype. I'd love for any of those to have a pull disruption ability.
I would say mantis is a good character for kiriko players, with the focus on landing crits and being a high damage support (although all supports do a ton of damage in this game lol). For mercy I would also mention storm, it's not close but for rival's characters I think it's closer to mercy than like jeff or mantis. Damage boosts and more passive/chill supporting
4:53 idk man, everytime I tried to escape while playing Hela yesterday I seemed to be instantly one shotted.. Idk if its because the crow transformation animation takes a little too long, but everytime I pressed shift I'd die :(
I mean yeah even their guns stats are almost identical. Both 40 shots a second with 40 in the mag and 6 dmg per bullet on tracer vs 6.5 on starlord. His guns are basically tracer copy-paste they just have less spread.
As Mercy main I'm finding Rocket Raccoon to be kinda similar. Good mobility / hard to kill, easy aim on the heal and even a rez. This is why I play Mercy and Raccoon anyways.
For Moira I would go with Cloak & Dragger as the BEST CHOICE! Switching between Cloak & Dagger is like switching between Moira’s hands. So the player gets to decide do they want to be a damage healer or full healer?
This goes to show you that Moon Knight is so completely different from the cast its not even remotely close. Loki does have some similarities like the echo ult or baptiste immortality tho.
For actual healer Moira players, the one I could think of is Raccoon's orbs since they just work the same and they bounce. Of course... Where's the fun in that.
I realized why in overwatch i can never tell what health im at. Unlike overwatch, marvel rivals has the health in the middle and as a minecraft player, im naturally used to looking there lol.
iron ma can give backshots if you spam the secondary fire over and over, or by holding it by looming straight down and going up and down in elevation. Iron freak.
honestly, i thought mantis would've land on Ana cause Mantis has an ability to sedate (sleep) her enemies, though I understand why Mantis and Mercy are in the same category cause Mantis's inspire ability is GOOOD (it damage boosts)
I’m a Moira man but I also like being in the support role so even tho scarlet witch feels the most like her.. it’s not what I’m going for. I find myself gravitating to Jeff cuz his heal stream is the most like Moira in my opinion
I feel like adam warlock is more similar to zen. He has a charge up volley projectile, similar primary fire in terms of tempo and velocity, and also a heal that you can apply from afar without much aiming required. The ultimate of mantis is more similar but apart from that she is not very similar to zen
Ram is also kinda the Magneto of Overwatch. While Zen is kinda the professor X (or whoever that omnic guy was that got assasinated in the short) They should definitely add Professor X as a strategist lol. Have him in the hover chair. Have another skin where he walks like in Savage Planet. And another where he’s that bad version of himself. Heck, isn’t he a version of Onslaught? Idk… Give him psionic abilities and support capabilities. But before him I wanna see NightCrawler, Toad, Beast, Ice-Man, Angel, Jean Grey, Cyclops, Avalanche, Blob, Collosus… Quicksilver… Pyro… Jubilee… Juggernaut… Dang they have so much diverse content to choose from 30+ heroes out the gate… this game could be great if they maintain it

Good sh*t, KarQ! Looking forward to more videos on this game, nice breath of fresh air
I think it would be fun to do "Loki's best duplicates" similar to the one you did for Echo
Bro
It’s like I’m back on OW1 days
Resubbing to KarQ for the new hero shooter?
History doesn’t repeat itself but it sure does rhyme.
4:53 idk man, everytime I tried to escape while playing Hela yesterday I seemed to be instantly one shotted.. Idk if its because the crow transformation animation takes a little too long, but everytime I pressed shift I'd die :(
10:09 As soon as I tried Star Lord in the practice range I really felt the Tracer playstyle lmao
I mean yeah even their guns stats are almost identical. Both 40 shots a second with 40 in the mag and 6 dmg per bullet on tracer vs 6.5 on starlord. His guns are basically tracer copy-paste they just have less spread.
I call him the Flying Tracer
10:48 Widowmaker - Why are you looking at me?
As Mercy main I'm finding Rocket Raccoon to be kinda similar. Good mobility / hard to kill, easy aim on the heal and even a rez. This is why I play Mercy and Raccoon anyways.
for lucio, i think rocket fits the mold of highly-mobile support
For Moira I would go with Cloak & Dragger as the BEST CHOICE! Switching between Cloak & Dagger is like switching between Moira’s hands. So the player gets to decide do they want to be a damage healer or full healer?
Cant wait for us to look back at this video and go "oh boy this is so wrong"
This goes to show you that Moon Knight is so completely different from the cast its not even remotely close. Loki does have some similarities like the echo ult or baptiste immortality tho.
For actual healer Moira players, the one I could think of is Raccoon's orbs since they just work the same and they bounce.
Of course... Where's the fun in that.
I'm tellin yall. If you want DPS doomfist. Magik is the closest hero to him. If you want tankfist, you want venom.
6:36 THE FLINGING OF THE WHAT KARQ 🥴
I feel like adam warlock is more similar to zen. He has a charge up volley projectile, similar primary fire in terms of tempo and velocity, and also a heal that you can apply from afar without much aiming required. The ultimate of mantis is more similar but apart from that she is not very similar to zen
Ram is also kinda the Magneto of Overwatch. While Zen is kinda the professor X (or whoever that omnic guy was that got assasinated in the short)
They should definitely add Professor X as a strategist lol. Have him in the hover chair. Have another skin where he walks like in Savage Planet. And another where he’s that bad version of himself. Heck, isn’t he a version of Onslaught? Idk… Give him psionic abilities and support capabilities.
But before him I wanna see NightCrawler, Toad, Beast, Ice-Man, Angel, Jean Grey, Cyclops, Avalanche, Blob, Collosus… Quicksilver… Pyro… Jubilee… Juggernaut…
Dang they have so much diverse content to choose from
30+ heroes out the gate… this game could be great if they maintain it
