- This scene was one of the most talked about moments from Season 2, both for its technical artistry and what it revealed about the characters. To me, this is one of the most beautiful and most powerful lines throughout the entire first two seasons.
The sun setting in real time. That is a fantastic 15 minutes.

The first time I watched this I thought halfway like “when is this is going to end” and “how are they pulling this off”.
It actually distracted me a little bit because I’m blown away with good film-making, but what really kept me captivated and very focused the whole time was the brilliant dialogue between the different characters and their different encounters. It seemed like something was happening the whole time so you had to shift your focus from one conversation to another and to pay close attention to what the characters are saying and what’s the show trying to say with the screenplay.
It was honestly one of the best 14 minutes I spent watching anything at all, and definetly the longest one-shot scene I’ve ever seen watching any show, and oh my was it so good !
YES! and God blessed the crew to make it so seamless.
And you can watch it over and over again to get all the nuances!
The difference with me is that I didn't get distracted 😃 I was attentive. This is what I want to hear and see all my life. The chosen brought to us the life of apostle live! This is what I have been thinking every time I read the gospel 😃🌹😍✅❤️✝️🌍🕊️.

This scene was so real. I often wondered how the disciples were still unbelieving the whole spiritual situation. Walking, living with the LORD but still subjected to fear, doubt and pride. But that will change at the day of Pentecost. As it would with you if you seek HIM and the Baptism of water and the Baptism of the HOLY SPIRIT. Seek and you will find, Nock and it will be opened onto you. It's like turning on the lights in a dark room.
This scene blew me away! While watching it I kept saying “It’s still going?! It’s still going?!”. It must not be easy to do such a long scene with out a cut! 👏👏👏
To me Mathew's development is the most amazing part. We can learn so much from him.
Love this scene! Also, love this verse: " If I ascend to heaven you are there, If I make my bed in the depths, you are there".
Such a moving scene and Mary’s line about being holy is one of my favorites!
I love the way the group forms the circle at 5:35 , and how the camera circles around and even comes in between the members of the conversation.

Thank you for continuing education on film making. I enjoy learning these tricks of the trade--leads me to appreciate the artistry more. Of course, no cinematic artistry can compensate for a bad script, bad acting. The Chosen shines in all aspects.
I adore this "Shot" it makes me so happy to see the interactions of the group so revealing. I was discharged yesterday from the hospital, (had surgery for 11 1/2 hrs), and The chosen has taught me to truly believe that he is with us always. And he was. He brought me through in the most marvelous of ways. Thank you for sharing one of my favorite moments from this Season.

I'm pretty sure I appreciate this moment even more now taking in all of the scenery. The conversations being had, the exciting and joyful atmosphere as people were being healed. The wonder of it all as things continued to unravel. The Lord Jesus' personal connection to the people being helped, as well as his own disciples. So much to fill your heart and ponder on 💗

This episode impacts me the most in so many ways. Seeing actors as themselves in interviews and then seeing their very real portrayal of the disciples I am blown away! The transcendent quality and the touch of Heaven on each one of them is beyond this earth and even words. Even the impression of the disciple's vulnerable humanity is so real and vibrant. Truly an anointing on each one and on everyone both in front and behind the camera. So grateful for all of you who are The Chosen. 🙏❤🎁
This may be my favorite shot in the whole show. It’s one long take, and we get to live with the disciples for a while, get to know them and watch as they quarrel and help each other and argue
It was a good project to make this long segment of time all together. It is more realistic to how life is than the usual in and out of life that typical of shows.
Literally just barely watched that. And I was just shocked at how it kept going. 15 minutes in one shot! That's incredible. To shoot and pace that so perfectly with impeccable acting and cinematography....to write, shoot, and act that is impressive. Seriously, bravo!
Dallas, you are the MASTER, all the episodes are so real, so natural, well done, amazing performances, sites, and so Jesus' time life⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We watch this and the first few minutes you don't really notice it's one long shot and then when we do notice, it just keeps going and keeps you on the edge. It was amazing!

It is so exciting and relevant, it is almost like they are talking about things going viral or something, but most of all you can just feel the ummmm, excitement/anxiety and glimpse into what to expect...the unexpected. 😀

I just finished watching this episode and it was so real. This opening scene filled me with joy, whilst the ending scene completely broke my heart and humbled me 😭

This had been my least favorite episode, but upon rewatching I noticed the 15 minute shot and was amazed. Amazing work by the actors and it captures such a great sunset! Crazy to think that if someone messed up, you’d have had to totally restart on a different day. Film GOALS. Well done.

I would agree it's a very nice shot. If you enjoy "oners" I can recommend the movie "1917" which is shot in real time almost completely, with few cuts in the span of about 2 hours.

Great work... my wife and I agreed that this was our favorite episode during our first watch through... but then the season 2 finale took that title, haha. Crazy how great an episode could be that barely has Jesus in it... The chosen truly are the beating heart of The Chosen.

Hitchcock used a similar technique in the opening minutes of Rope. This is a great deal more compelling. Plus it's about life-giving rather than life-taking.
