The performance series are not really thicker then other 5plys, they are just not shaped on the edges and cuz of that it just looks pretty thick… Just sand down the corners a bit, you will see the Effekt and if you have a usefull caliper you can even measure it out… Have it compared to the asi shop decks and the bollie complete, all decks have exactly 2.8mm, so really exactly the same size, both bollie and shop deck looks way thinner then the Teck deck with the same measurements so it’s really just the shape of the board…
Hope you talk about the black river wheels and what happened with winklers i was kinda sad when that happened because i wanted to get a winkler afrobi wheels since fabian was one of my favorite fingerboarder of all time
@@patrickpaulrazon2198 i believe they removed Martin Winklers name from all ramps and wheel because he has stoped being involved with black river for a few years now since 2016 maybe not too sure but winkler announced it on his Facebook
hey Annie, You might want to say this in a video but using tech deck hangers on vortex trucks will make it so that there is no discoloration. The tech deck hangers won't discolor.
Tech deck hangars are 2 axis trucks and have too thick ends so that you can’t run most bearing wheels on them without sanding them in the right shape… So the hangars broke pretty fast (loose axis pins) and you need to work on them that they can perform like good hangars, no sense to put in that much effort to this… The hangars of the vortex seems to be the same like on the asi shop trucks 3.0 and those are pretty good even next to brt hangars (have both to compare)… They are single axis, have a hardened axis and they are now well enough to run good wheels properly, so just give a f… to the declaration and have fun instead or take the gold once, on them the discoloration is not that noticeable like on the silver version… The new generation of cheap china trucks are pretty nice for the money they cost, the asi shop have both with 2.0 and 3.0 shop trucks (have both too) and the differences are pretty noticeable even if you can’t compare directly… The fit of the wheels on the 3.0 is just perfectly on point where the 2.0 can still have a lot of free space between bearing and a already fully screwed nut, this is very important for the wheels, when they still have play the bearings will get damaged pretty fast, just a single session can destroy the bearings completely even on the most expensive wheels… This was an issue on tech deck trucks and cheap china trucks the longest time but now even this issue is fixed… So instead to work your ass out on trucks that are just not worth it just buy those trucks for the 15 bucks and just be happy for quite a long time…
Kraken wheels are crazy for the price, cost just 27,50€ in Germany (all taxes are already incl. and just crazy cheap in comparison with ill pills starts at 45€, br wheels starts at 35€, maple wheels starts at 50€, cartwheels starts at 40€ or even apex/teak wheels starting at 33€)… The kraken came in 60d in 3 different shapes and they all just great for the price… But they came with two minor downsides, first they take some days to break in and the bearing pocket on the nut side is that much thick that it’s hard to setup them correctly… But both are „issues“ that are fine for this pricetag, they roll so smooth and have so much grip, they are just a joy to ride… I have even changed my ill pills against them cuz I like them a bit more in the moment and ride them on all of my 3 main setups (the main pricey setup, a cheaper edc dry setup and a edc wet setup) in street shape… Really good wheels in special the conic and street shapes, the bowl are nice too but just not my kind of wheels so I maybe will reshape them to bigger streets or something like this when I can’t find a good setup for them…😅

@Sleep my guess is that blackriver took over winkler wheels and rebranded it but its still not clear so i hope anyone can correct me on that one

They’re the same wheels, just got a new set this week.
I just bought a black river deck and I ended up putting it back in the box and hanging it. Felt super clunky
