ON THE CHARACTER OF BUILDINGS

The video deals with the concept of character in architecture, which has long been absent from reflections on architectural design, arguing in favor of its validity and unfolding the concept into a classification that includes the immediate, generic, essential, programmatic, and associative character. Rather than something affixed to buildings, character is a quality derived from the spatial/volumetric organization and materialization of each work.
