Unlike truly great relievers, he doesn't have a strikeout pitch, and so, even when he gets two strikes on a batter, he still gets deep into the count as the batter is able to foul off his pitches instead of swing and miss for strike three. Consequently, he averages like 5-7 pitches per hitter, which is just too many. He would be bound to give up hits and walks that way. So far this year, he has saved 25 out of 35 chances. That is a lot of blown saves: 10 blown saves, many against non-playoff teams. He's bound to get lit up come postseason. But I hope for the best.
Stanton aka Big G has picked it up as a late and still hitting with power with the best of them. 4 game hitting streak. Also slashing .261/.280/ .652 2HR 7RBI 3XBH this month so far. Coming into this season the expectations for him were low. Before he got injured he was 3rd on the team in OPS, HR, RBI and SLG. He was upset and frustrated. Not to mention the lineup suffered without him. Now it looks like he's getting back to that pace where he left off at. I'm very happy for him because he's been bitten by the injury bug since he's been in the Bronx. Maybe this finally the year that he can help this team get the big prize.

Just the pitcher, the batter, with 40-some thousand fans, but a handful jeering or cheering at any given time. A memorable moment for sure. Not bad for my 5 y.o. son’s first Yankee game.

The amount of bad pitching and errors the Yankees make consistently is crazy. Their pitching and lineup is so inconsistent theres no way they are making a deep playoff run. The better teams will punish them way more for their mistakes than the Rangers did this game
