    We just bought a house and moved in March 27 and at one end of it is one of these hanging. I kept wondering what it was all winter. Then today when I was mowing I seen it again and told hubby that I had just watched your video and now know what it is. Cool. I told him we need to make more cuz they are killing our pole barn and back porch. And yes on the underside where the rain cant get in. I'll be danged. Thanks for making this video. It sure helped us out.

    Hey Brian,
    Thanks for the great traps! Been up for 2 weeks now and has cut down on the population by at least two thirds. We'll probably get more bee butter from you. I wish we had discoverd your traps a couple of years ago when we paid exterminators that turned out to be a waste of money. Thanks again for your speedy fullfillment of our order. Fellow youtubers these traps really work!!!!!

    What keeps them from going back to their old holes in your house if you use these traps?

    Most people don't like having their homes eaten by bugs. These things bore 3/8" holes right through paint and pesticides and do significant financial damage to homes requiring both expensive repairs and repainting.

    Dead bees for sale: I ordered three of these things last Saturday and asked they hasten shipment. The package arrived in CA on Monday. Impressive. I hung them immediately and two days later, nothing. My wife said to contact the shipper for refund and I said give it another day. Next day, two caught. Next day, about 8. There are still a few around, but I think they are confused now. I have put up with these things for years and can't believe I got this under control for $50. I guess th

    Brian these traps are also catching wasps and mud dobbers. shouyld we clear those out of there and only have carpenter bee's in there? Will the smell of the other dead stuff have a negative effect on the carpenter bees entering? The traps are working great! Thanks!!

  • @bestbeetrap
    @bestbeetrap  11 років тому

    be sure not to put any bee butter in the traps it will ruin them . What attracts the bees to the trap is a possible nest site . Be sure the trap is visible to the bees . Be sure the trap is dry inside . when the first bees are caught they die & release a pheromone that attracts more bees to the trap . please feel free to call us 256 253 2019 . we are here to help .

    I guess in large numbers these solitary bees must be a bit annoying. When there's only a one or two you can appreciate that they are beautiful and fascinating creatures which pollinate flowers (I have them on wisteria and lavender).
    Does anyone know or done a 'marking' experiment to see whether they can relocate their nest if they are released several miles away? It seems a shame to just wipe them out.
