An excellent and nuanced discussion.
A common thread in all of these different industries that are affected by Machine Learning, is that the new people entering the field will likely be outcompeted by AI, resulting in a massive skill-gap in the next 10 years.

I believe that more than the opt-out exists, it is the express and notorious option without fine print, opt-in as many artists say and above all, having tools to prevent unethical scraping practices that steal their voices and those of any natural actor. or people in common because this affects us all in general.

They're just gonna scrape voices from pre-existing media and tweak it a little bit.

Unfortunately that is a possibility. And at that point I think it becomes a public concern since anyone could have their voice manipulated and used.
