Hi, my name is Jen I am 44 and live in Connecticut with my husband and 8 year old son. I am a stay-at-home Mom and full-time UA-camr with a degree in business with a focus in marketing. Before leaving work when my son was born, I was a commercial lender at a bank. I also worked at Sephora and Macy's doing visual merchandising.
I have dry skin with some hyperpigmentation and fine lines. I love natural makeup looks but occasionally go outside my comfort zone a little bit. Yes Catrice and Essence are one parent company - Cosnova. Also wanna give a shout out for Catrice aloe vera eyeshadow sticks (there are 4 shades of them available) - theyre sooo easy to blend and theyre incredibly creamy and soft on the eyes, not too stiff thus making it a pleasure to apply and while they can be totally blended away they can be layered. Love them so much and hope theyll do more colors. 040,030,010 are my faves.
I love Catrice makeup! I agree with you about the ShopmissA Artista eyeliners...they are soooooo good! I always find myself reaching for them over my high end stash.I have every color and the slim brow brow pencil they have is the best brow pencil ShopmissA has ever came out with.Thanks for the Catrice try on and reviews.There just isnt enough bragging about Catrice and there are some gems i just cannot get enough of.Thanks Jen❤
The pink undereye brightener is such a gamechanger for those no-makeup-makeup days. I use that with a little powder on top and it is so amazing, I instantly just look more awake. One of the best products I discovered in the last year!
I am so excited to see Catrice entering the chat (haha) again. They are one of the few makeup brands we can easily find in South Africa and are really affordable.
I really appreciate the check ins that you do. I feel like anything can look good right after application. And of course we stay to the end!
A very good point. I do like seeing how products wear over several hours. I mean, most of us want products that will look good through a work day and commute.

This was a fun video to see all the new products from Catrice. I miss seeing the Catrice brand in Canada, the Essence cosmetics are still here. The quality of these products are better than some high end cosmetics. The makeup and blush shades you are wearing compliment your dress - so pretty😊 Take care everyone 🌹

I miss being able to get Catrice in Canada too. On Amazon, it is marked up like crazy. Sad that they stopped selling it here but they still have Essence?

I'm glad it worked for you! As an oily girly, it was a but greasy for me, but I still use it on days my eyes are sensitive.
I'm guessing it's their version of the Becca product, but it looks much less shiny. The Becca product in the lightest shade was just the right color for me, but the shine didn't look good on my 62 year old skin.
Love the brighteners and looks amazing but it creases so much just like the becca one 🫤
I have both and prefer the catrice. The Becca is so thick and hard to pat out

Just wanted to say I watched your recent Q&A and I really appreciate how down to earth you are and continue to be in your videos. Your makeup looked great and love your dress too!!! definitely I'll try that face palette, the eye corrector (I've been wanting one of those but most of them look very heavy for my mature undereye and these ones look perfect for me) and one of the lip balms!

They're very reasonably priced for the number of shades you get. That is, assuming the formula is decent, and it appears it is.

I LOVE THEIR 24 hr mattifing pressed powder. It’s one of my favs. Their concealer. I LOVE THIS BRAND. I can’t wait for the face palettes.

Nobody does it better! I mean YOU! I don't shop online, so the only Catrice product I own is an older eyeshadow palette I found at TJMaxx, sll brown, beige and peachy tones and it's one of my "first grabs" when I don't want to work on blendability or worry about staying power. Again, you're THE BEST! PS "Malibu Barbie"? My favorite nickname for you! And you OWN that shade!

got the catrice melt and shine lip balm today. it’s super pretty and feels wonderful, just has a bit of an odd taste 😅 they also have some other shades as well.
their lip oils are also a favourite!

Love Catrice products. I'm a young 60 with sensitive skin and I can use most of the products they offer. With the skin tint I find if I wear a hydrating primer under it. It does alot better. And I have to use a tiny bit more of it than I do of thier true skin foundation. Which is my go to foundation. The eyeshadow looked great on you.

I love Catrice, so sad they left the US and Ulta. When I was in Europe their drugstore had the full line in Germany and I bought the foundation serum and I love it now mind you I have normal to combo skin. Their eyeshadows are also very good! Same! I, too, scroll through the new section every Sunday on Ulta. I do wish Catrice was more visible here in the US. They have some great products, but thoughts of them get lost in all the newness and I just forget to check out their site tbh. This is a great reminder that I did just finish up their True Skin concealer and need to put that on my list for repurchase so I'll have to add a few new goodies as well. Catrice is one if my favorite brands. I love love the True Skin concealers. Excellent products. The pink corrector absolutely equals the Beauty Pie which is a dupe for Becca. Such a great product and inexpensive too! Enjoyable and informative video Jen. Thanks!
I haven't tried any of the new stuff except the under eye brightener in pink and I am OBSESSED WITH IT. I even love it for days when I don't want to put on any makeup but just want my under eyes to look brighter. So instead of concealer I grab the brightener.
Hi, Jan. I have the same problem with their skin tint... To get my right shade, I have to mix two shades together 🙄, but to make it look right on my skin, I add a drop of squalene oil to the mixture and it looks great.

Just an FYI- I had this on 1080p and your face seemed super blurry. Your up close hand swatches were in focus and your shirt deemed in focus but your whole face area seemed blurry. Not sure if the camera settings need tweaked cause I don’t do technology hahaha! Thank you for a wonderful thorough review!!! 🤩🤩

Thanks! I've been having such a struggle with this on my new camera! It seems to focus on everything but my face even though I have face tracking on. I'll have to keep looking into the settings, maybe there's something I'm missing.
Another one who likes the rose eye brightener. This has mostly replaced concealer which for me honestly didn't do a lot. I have several products in the Essence/Catrice line that are staples for me. Not everything is a winner but I like a lot of things, Catrice isn't talked about enough and super affordable. Good video.

I try to buy as little as possible from Amazon and shop locally (even if from a chain store) as much as possible. So Catrice is off my list right now. Fun video, though! That pinky palette would get me, if it was at Target, CVS, or Ulta.

Jen this is a great video. I purchased a bronze duo with a highlighter that you recommended a while ago. I absolutely love it. I just ordered the lip balm and lip oil plus the Sigma brush
