That's the most comprehensive video I have seen consolidating available training out there! Thank you, Day! I have taken BTL1, BTL2, CCD, and CDSA. I wanted to challenge OSDA but did not have time to do it. I liked CCD and CDSA most because of their superior quality of BTL1 and BTL2, and my recommendation is to do both CCD and CDSA. I liked CCD more because it offers better value for money, covers more topics, and boosts research skills considerably! Looking forward to more great videos like this ❤
I am OSDA certified and can't say it's anywhere near a fully polished blue team certification. I thought about BTL2 , but I would never pay $2500 for a relatively new certification. I may challenge CCD next as I can afford only one more certification this year and it looks older and more established than CDSA at the moment.
Thanks for the video. I finished SOC level 1 and I am working on finishing up cyber defense on THM. I think my next step will be to go for the Blue team level 1.
Nice work! This was a pretty thorough breakdown of a bunch of platforms. I've tried a few of these out over the years. If I had to give any advice, I'd tell people to try a few of them out and exhaust the free stuff before choosing any of the paid options.
36:57-37:10 You mentioned you are working on a video for "how to approach certs in 2024" with the link in the description but I assume you meant you are still working on getting it out since I can't seem to find it anywhere?
Thanks for this very informative video bro! Which Of these would you recommend someone like myself and as career switching who wants to ultimately get into that GRC-IT/Cybersecurity Auditor space?
Cloud Soc analyst is my interest, do i need all these traditional soc trainings before cloud security or after comptia sec+ I should pick a cloud provider and follow the security pathways? I hold a degree in computer science
Thank you for this, I just completed letsdefends, SOC Path and about to clear the CySa path before Splunk, I was considering Blue Team Lv 1 but I don’t really ever see it pop up on job apps is this still worth pursuing? Or is it just a clout cert for now?
Awesome vid day! I think CCD is really underrated rn and deserves more HR recognition unlike useless certs like CEH lol

I would highly suggest looking at HTB CDSA over BTL1. Lots of people in the HTB discord have taken both and all day CDSA blows it out of the water
I just passed it. Would highly recommend it

Wow so impressive for the comprehensive training stuff! thx.

Thanks for this very informative video bro! Which Of these would you recommend someone like myself and as career switching who wants to ultimately get into that GRC-IT/Cybersecurity Auditor space?

I think l will keep coming to this video for a long time!
Is it ok to use a Mac while doing any of the course you talked about?
Yep
@@DayCyberwox thank you
For the eJPT they use attack defense labs for the practice ...
checkout Level Effect Cyber Defense Analyst Program and Detection Engineering courses.
I never heard for that, could be better than cdsa?
Thank you 🙏🏽 very helpful
Can. newbie jump straight into doing the CCD?
@@braddng3718 yes! But expect a challenge :)
Thanks for giving us the blueprint. There’s literally no excuse to not get into security

Ahhh yes. Slip of the tongue😅
Can This apply to Cloud Security?

@@DayCyberwox Day your advices are always gold. thanks after finished thm i go for it.
So you pick BTl1 over CSDA?

I think it’s still a great certification.
What courses shall we pursue for pentest??
Im suprised you didnt mention CloudBreach, unless I missed that.
They’re more offensive security focused but I definitely missed them here.
@@DayCyberwox Thanks for the video. Regardless, still very resourceful. We appreciate the research
Bruh you missed HTB Sherlocks
I mentioned HTB tho…at the time of filming the Sherlocks had not been released. I might make a follow up video with some update.
Cdsa or TCM de?
Insightful wish there was some like you that is into offensive security 🥲
