Had SEGA not given up on Silver after '06's failure and continued making him playable in more mainline games, we could've gotten a Silver Generations in the mid-to-late 2030s or sum'n. Or I guess they could cheat and give him levels from games he wasn't in (like Shadow got with Chaos Island from Frontiers) or at least cameoed in, like Colours (albeit the DS version, which maybe a Silver Generations Colours level could take inspiration from that version). But alas, '06 remains his only mainline playable appearance while the rest of his playable appearances are just in spinoffs that aren't built around his gameplay. If a Sonic Unleashed Remaster had some kind of "New Game +" where you could play as Shadow during the Day stages, maybe Silver could work for the Night stages since his gameplay is more combat-focused like the Werehog? If they're gonna persist in the Boost gameplay like with Sonic and Shadow, then Silver's gonna need some tweaking to make his style fit. If Shadow can have his own unique take on Boost gameplay, surely Silver can get something similar. If Sonic got his Cyber/Frontiers abilities and Shadow his Doom Powers, there can be something similar for Silver...though he basically already has it with his psychic powers.
Seems like a neat idea, but I don't see them doing a modern version of Rivals 2. Too many fans would want something that's more of a modern take on 06.
Silver deserved better he is way overdue for a power upgrades and better origin story there's alot more you can do with psychokanisis

What If for silver we got sonic rivals 2 but in 3d with cool gameplay and cutscenes and would focus on sonic and silver story's
