Love your predictions, mate! Keep up the good work. Just curious, why didn't you give 4 stars to Pelayo if you're saying he will end up in 2nd place? 😝
Cheers ey, glad you like them and thanks for joining in! And good question, I'll try to explain my reasoning 😉 4⭐doesn't necessarily mean the rider will win the stage - Kron is 4 star to me in a solo scenario - when a small group goes to the line, Narvaez and Pelayo would have an edge on him (which eventually is the option I went with for my podium) - if I would have considered the option as well, I would've given him 4 stars as well, yet I decided to go against it, considering a solo win or sprint from the break as the most likely options (I hope I'm making sense here 🤪)
I agree he's close, yet I don't think Bora minds in passing the jersey to him, as long as the gap stays in check, which should be relatively easy to control. He can be dropped and will loose close to 2' in the final ITT
Lafay wins today because he's in my fantasy team 🙄 For real I bet on Sanchez today, just hope to be lucky now lol Didn't Narvaez crash on 2nd stage ? Is he OK if it was him ?
Yep, Narvaez did crash, yet he sprinted to 7th yesterday, so I'm assuming he's perfectly fine. I like Lafay too for this stage, yet he hasn't had a great year so far, which is why I didn't pick him in the end, would be great to see him do well though!
@@CyclingGuy Oh then Narvaez deserves hid 5 stars ! Lafay just came from a knee injury in july, finished 7th in the Ain GC and did a very good job in the queen stage of Burgos (followed Kuss and Cepeda until last km). He won a very similar stage in the Giro 2021 also
sorry : too bad for Doull yesterday, you predicted him even though he wasn't in the bookmakers, I would have liked to see his result! I agree with you for today's breakaway, even if the 4th stage and the last grand tours tend to prove that there are fewer and fewer victorious breakaways! so WVA today?
That's also an option, yet it will only work if a relatively large group forms, in a smaller group, I don't expect the other riders to cooperate with - knowing he'll beat them on the line
Visma had a bad tour de france, they need to do their brand justice and catch some prize money. i can see them controlling the stage and delivering van aert for victory.
I agree that this is definitely an option - the team didn't look impressive on the Pico Villuercas and they may well completely shift their attention to as many stage wins as possible, ... I guess we'll get clarity on that in the next few stages
Now, that's a bold statement - especially Yates had a bad day on the Pico Villuercas, a stage which on paper should have suited him - I'm still hoping he had to settle into the hot temperatures, ...

Thank you for your explanation! It makes sense. I'm really excited for today's stage! 🙏
Totally agree with you that this one for the break. Should be a good finish. Thank you for the coverage! Also, go Woods🇨🇦
🙏Unless Visma LAB controls for - yet not the most likely scenario IMO
Great prediction. As of yet, I don’t see any one team really controlling any stage. The break, whoever gets in it, could have great success here.

VWA sobe bem e pode pontuar no final da etapa para a camisola verde
Check, I agree, yet will they have the team work all day for that, it's not excluded, ... let's see - enjoy the stage!
Kron is not too close in GC standings?
I agree he's close, yet I don't think Bora minds in passing the jersey to him, as long as the gap stays in check, which should be relatively easy to control. He can be dropped and will loose close to 2' in the final ITT
@@CyclingGuy my point was that it is not only between Bora and Kron also other teams are not going to like Kron in the break

@@greniermatteo2905 thanks for sharing ey, I missed out on most of the Vuelta a Burgos, yet that indeed sounds promising
@@CyclingGuy Good luck Bora 🤣🤣
@@greniermatteo2905 great riding by them, Lipowitz up front and then making other teams nervous so they start doing the work

No worries, just responded to your other message in my best French (please ignore the typos ;-))
I just saw a statistic that this year, only 10 out of 118 (8%) World tour races and stages were won from the early break.
WvA will go in the break himself I think
