Stefan, I loved this comparison video! It's great to have you back. I've been eyeballing these two wallets for a while and have been having a hard time deciding whether I should purchase one. Your review really helps explain all of the important features that each wallet has. Please do not go on UA-cam vacation again. Your videos, insight and thoroughly researched videos are TOO integral to the UA-cam community.
What a good review. Thank you. I like the newer one because the cards sleeve is vertical to the width instead of horizontal negating the straps to hold the cards in. The memory card slots should be be enough for an air tag or instead with a mesh sleeve to have ID card.
You do fantastic reviews, Maxpedition should be paying you (if they aren't) Your English is great, and the way you touch on all aspects is very nice. Even adding your own preferences is helpful. Keep up the good work.
Stefan, I never liked these wallets because of the velcro, and I would feel like I carry a child's wallet when I hear the velcro every time I open it. However, this video really sold me on the wallet, and I plan to buy one soon. I always enjoy your well put together reviews, and I'm glad to see you back!
Excellent review thank you. I was looking at both wallets and while we do have 1 and 2 dollar coins here in Canada, I tend to keep my change in my pocket so the coin purse is not a necessity for me. Thanks to this video I have decided to go with the Spartan, very informative, again, thanks for taking the time.
these appear to be well made the coin wallet is the one i am going for . thank you . first class and your English is first class . wish i was clever enough to learn German.
Stefen the review is very thorough and helpful, I agree with the Velcro straps. I don’t care for memory card straps, would use them for some other purpose. Much thanks God Bless.
Thank you for an excellent review. This helped me decide that despite the obscene price tag, the layout and the additional features of the 'Emdom USA Master Wallet' is a good choice for me. I am not mentioning that wallet because I work for anyone, just figured I'd share that as an option for anyone reading. Again, thank you for an excellent review.
Excelent review/overview. I wanted a Spartan Wallet for some time. It's a bit difficult to get for me, however I like to keep informed. This was a very good comparison.
Thank you for another fine review/comparison. I personally prefer the CMC although I would have little use for the zippered coin area. Looking forward to the next knife or recipe review.
Great to see you're back and making reviews, Stefan. You did a fantastic job reviewing those two wallets, however, I already have my 'perfect wallet' so I won't be picking these up.
Stephan
@TheUrbanPrepper Thank you for your very kind words! - I suggested to MMM50 that I would only return to UA-cam if he revealed his identity to you and TacticalTemptress. But I'm afraid this will never happen.
@TheRifleman336 That's really funny because it sounds so "Germish" to my ears. - Here's another example: If someone messed up something you can say "Da haben wir den Salat!". That would be similar to the English interjection "What did I tell you!". But if you translate the German phrase word by word it is "There we have the salad!"
Stefan -- as always, smashing job on this video. You are a true asset to this community and to consumers in general. I wish that had the type of "flow" and command of dialogue the way you do in your videos but sadly I'll always have at least a couple of "ums" and "uhhs" :) Nice to see you back as you were certainly missed, brother.
I love your reviews. A lot of details and useful info. Color is quite close to actual one. I got both spartan and c.m.c wallets. Like u said, c.m.c is more useful.
I would really edit your ID card because when I paused the video, it was really easy to read the digits and information of your card. Great video though! Thanks for the upload :D
Thanks for the review. It seems I'll have to get a CMC wallet at some stage. Here in the UK we have the same situation as the Eurozone in that the lowest denomination banknote is GBP5, meaning that I often have any amount between 0 to GBP10 in coins, including some large coins such as the GBP2 coin. I use the mesh pocket of my Maxpedition EDC Pocket Organiser to hold spare change at the moment, but it's not ideal.
Great review. German ordnung. Not like many unorganized you-tube. But I am not sure what wallet to buy. I do like your idea of a mix of them. Great review, really nice to see. Thanks.
By the way, coin pockets are critical in US also... because between merchant prices ($7.99, $4.49, etc.) and local taxes, you always have merchandise have odd amounts. You often end up with a pocket full of pennies (1 cent)!
Very nice review. I have seen a couple of your maxpedition reviews now and I like how you do them. I love Maxpedition. However the velcro is worn out pretty much on my Urban wallet. So I am looking for a new wallet that I can keep my few amount of cards, paper AND coin money in. This CMC appears to be the perfect wallet for my needs, while still being a Maxpedition product. Currently I have their urban wallet, their keyper, their mini pocket organizer, their 5 inch flashlight sheath, their vertical smartphone sheath all with me as part of my EDC. I just love Maxpedition! Although after a few years I am a bit disappointed about the velcro situation on my urban wallet.
The cmc ticked all my boxes that I wish to see in a wallet, the big one being coin pocket, as I live in sweden I get quite a lot of coin, even though I try to use my cards as much as possible. Great review btw, and I liked the comparison as I've been looking at the Spartan briefly. I subscribed too, you seem to have a lot of good vids to catch up on.
***** The Spartan is advertised that has water resistant feature. However, when I drop some water on it; the water is absorbed instead of slipping away. I also try on the CMC wallet and it does as advertised. Have you found that ?
Dude! Great to see you back! The Max Spartan sucked because US currency is larger than Eu... and it was hard to slide it in and out of the Spartan (length of pocket almost identical to length of bill). Max cheats in that if you stuffed your CMC, you wouldn't have room for the mem cards anyway (too much bulging with the coin pockets front and back). Great review as always, nice old school one. :o)
I was wondering about uragans comment. The place where u put the bills seems so wide open ... How r u finding that so far? Right now I'm trying THE Wallet JR. All these wallets seem so large, and the micro versions too small. FYI: great to see another review!! :)
Danke! Das ist wirklich ein hervorragend klarer Vergleich! Sehr hllfreich!
Vielen Dank!
Thank you for showing everything there are to show of those wallets.
Now I know which one to get.

Thanks for watching!

+Engine Rebuilders Supply Co. Well, the video is 4.5 years old. I don't do Maxpedition reviews anymore.
hahaha, that's a shame
I love your no nonsense straight to the point way of reviewing. Thanks.
Finally figured out my next wallet purchase! Thanks to Stefan for the thorough review. I'm going with CMC.
Mike Boas Same here; ordered it recently from Amazon.
Couldn't resist. I ordered the cmc on Amazon. the change pocket with the zipper on the outside is what sold me on it. That is such a cool idea

However, this video really sold me on the wallet, and I plan to buy one soon. I always enjoy your well put together reviews, and I'm glad to see you back!
I wish you would do more gear reviews! You were my favorite!!
That's a pretty good demo/explanation you gave.... Thank you.....
Thank you!

Thank you from CANADA for the excellent and informative review.
Thank you for this review.
Thanks for watching!
@TheDBR2 Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad my review was helpful to you.
I'm using Spartan for almost 10 years and it's completely fine.
@DFD737 Thanks for your feedback! I'm glad it worked out great for you.
A very good review, thank you. Exactly the info I needed to see.
Thank you for taking the time to do such a thorough and helpful review. It helped me make a good decision.

Tanks for the reviews,i realy liked the cmc model.
@Naturliebe Thank you for your very kind words, Tito! Greetings from Krefeld!
Stefen the review is very thorough and helpful, I agree with the Velcro straps. I don’t care for memory card straps, would use them for some other purpose. Much thanks God Bless.
Thanks for watching!
Outstanding review and great detail! It is always a good day when i see one of your videos in my subscription box! Thanks for sharing, Stefan!
Great review Stefan. Great to see that you are back.

Great reviews. Pros and Cons of 2 great products without any bias. Thanks.
Very well done! Thanks for the info! Went with the Spartan
Nice. Great to see another video from you Stefan. Interesting wallet comparison.
Excelent review/overview. I wanted a Spartan Wallet for some time. It's a bit difficult to get for me, however I like to keep informed.
This was a very good comparison.
Good to see you back Stefan.
Excellent review.
Thank you for another fine review/comparison. I personally prefer the CMC although I would have little use for the zippered coin area. Looking forward to the next knife or recipe review.
Great video and nice comparison... You have convinced me that I need the Spartan instead of the CMC that I was going to buy!
Great to see you're back and making reviews, Stefan. You did a fantastic job reviewing those two wallets, however, I already have my 'perfect wallet' so I won't be picking these up.

Great review, thanks a lot. I visited your country about 10 years ago its beautyful

Thank you for the excellent review. You highlighted all the features very well and helped me to make my buying decision.
@StygianNebula I'm glad my review was helpful to you.
Excellent detailed review, well done. I must agree with your "dream wallet" I think that would be my ideal too.
@mrmonkeyman50 Some people expected me to return with a bang. Unfortunately, I have no talent for dramatic poses. ;-)
I love your reviews. A lot of details and useful info. Color is quite close to actual one. I got both spartan and c.m.c wallets. Like u said, c.m.c is more useful.
Finally a new video from you - much appreciated as always!
Loving this review, stefan....You got me...gonna pick one of these up...cheers
😎👍
Thanks for watching!
Great review. Good to see some more reviews. Looking forward to your next one
such an awesome review ! great structure, BEST infos ! Thanx for it, stefan ! Keep it on !
@stschmalhaus I am leaning towards the Spartan, I don't prefer to carry lots of change, and I like the horizontal design more. Thank you again!
I would really edit your ID card because when I paused the video, it was really easy to read the digits and information of your card. Great video though! Thanks for the upload :D
Very informative review. You do these extremely well. Keep up the good work.
Welcome back and thanks for the great review!
Thank You Stefan, just what I needed to see !
very well organized n thorough review thank you for your time and effort
You are and have been my favorite maxpedition reviewer of all times
Thank you!
@MrDagon007 Thank you! Indeed, the area with the memory card pockets is wasted space.

@UrbanPaladin Thanks for your support!

Very good review I totally agree with you ideal Maxpedition Wallet.
You're like the Richard Attenborough of wallets :)

Thanks very nicely explained.
Thanks for this excelent review. Now I know which one to buy.
Excellent video
Schön von dir zu hören! :)
Ich habe mir auch das Spartan zugelegt und finde es echt super, aber ich steck da inzwischen nur noch 1- und 2-Euro-Münzen rein, und selbst die fallen entweder raus oder sind nur schwer rauszufischen. Excellent review of both wallets!
Very good explaination ! Thank you very much!
As always, another great video!
Another excellent review. Thank you, and well done.
Great explanation and thank you for the video.
A great review, still can't make up my mind though!
***** The Spartan is advertised that has water resistant feature. However, when I drop some water on it; the water is absorbed instead of slipping away. I also try on the CMC wallet and it does as advertised. Have you found that ?
Nice review, I got THE Wallet JR by spec ops. I use to have the spartan.
Thank you for an excellent in depth review!
Thanks for your thorough reviews. Subscribed!
YEAH! Glad to see you back!
@colwild As I mentioned in the video, I prefer the wide opening of the bills compartment.
Ahhhh!! Ich hab mich so gefreut auf eine neue knife review von stschmalhaus und was kommt nach so langer Zeit?? irgendsoein maxpedition dings -.-
Dude! Great to see you back! Great review as always, nice old school one. :o)
I bought a Spartan wallet because of this video....and a 3 Case Canoe knives from another...I will go broke at this rate....lol
@AussieMark909 Thank you, Mark!
@zeltarstormrun This memory card case should be easy to find. It's a "Lowepro PixelPak V1".
I was wondering about uragans comment. The place where u put the bills seems so wide open ... How r u finding that so far? Right now I'm trying THE Wallet JR. All these wallets seem so large, and the micro versions too small. FYI: great to see another review!! :)
@TheRifleman336 LOL... Where did you pick up this "Germish" phrase?
Hi, Very good review. Thank you!
