Vacation Kicks-Off With MADONNA In Palm Springs & A Night At Hotel Del Coronado In San Diego

- It's Spring Break and we're kicking-off our weeklong vacation! First stop: Palm Springs. After a wonderful dinner, Mike goes to Madonna's Celebration Tour. The next morning, we wake up early and start the drive to San Diego where we stay one night at the Hotel Del Coronado, before we embark on the Disney Wonder for our very first Disney Cruise!

Your best vlog yet. You took us to see Madonna in Palm Springs! It's good that you told your viewers that Madonna takes the stage around 10 o'clock. I took some friends to a Madonna concert and she was 2 1/2 hours late to the stage. People were walking out even before the concert started because they had sitters at home or had to get to work early the next day. We were staying at the same hotel where Madonna was staying and we saw her leave for the venue at 4 o'clock that afternoon. (!!) I just looked at her website and it says doors open on this tour at 7:30. Pay no attention. Arrive like Mike did----a little before 10.

It's been at least 35-years since my visit to Hotel Del for work. Much has changed with the addition of several new buildings, but it's nice to see that the lobby with its birdcage elevator remains mostly intact. Hope you had an opportunity to check out the spectacular Crown Room. Bon voyage...

Saw Madonna in Chicago in February. That's about the time she started for us too. Great concert for this gen her! I've always wanted to stay at Coronado...so glad it was so nice.

Next time stay at the Ritz Carlton in Rancho Mirage. You all will love the property, the views, the restaurants, the cocktails, the pool service (chilled towels and fruit) and overall ambiance. Plus, every night at 5pm they offer a complimentary bourbon cocktail in the lobby. The Club Level is delightful too....

The last time I saw Madonna was when my mom took me in 1985 for The Virgin Tour at the Orlando Civic Center. It amazing she's still killin' it. Nice bomber jacket. The price isn't that bad.

Nice video....I believe the restaurant Mike and Caleb had lunch, Boudin, is pronounced Boo-deen. My daughter and I used to eat there when I visited her in SoCal. It's a chain, sort of like a Panera Bread.
