Haha. You make their ‘career’ sound like an illness. I like to think of an outset where everything is potential and nothing impossible. But yes, people will look back on these early days with rose tinted hindsight, and say I was there.
Ian Hunter's grandson on lead vocals. (The sunglasses mostly) Most of my favorite bands have been the ones whose music is difficult to describe or find a musical frame of reference for people who aren't the music obsessive I am. The sheer joy of hearing something unique seems lost on a lot of music "fans."
That buzz is just around the corner! A whole bunch of people gonna get to see them at Green Man. They’ll be coming straight here after to see if they were dreaming.
Have been waiting to see a full set from this band for a while, and they are sounding amazing so far 🙏🏻 thanks for all the HQ capturing you do for us overseas folk
The kids absolutely do. One of the noticeable attributes of these new crop of young bands seems to be that they are actually really sweet humans irl as well.
@@LouSmith Yes!! That's exactly what I'm talking about, we have exactly the same thing going on here in the North West, it's a breathe of fresh air and makes the whole, them being outstanding, all the sweeter.
❤ A special night for a special band. Great capture, how do you eliminate the 'famous' Windmill stage light saturation? Kills my pathetic viddys! And all in focus, too. Great work xx
@LouSmith yes, I tried aperture last night to open up for light but of course that narrows the depth. A bit of manual maybe tomorrow night. Will get there in the end...
@gvid1 it’s usually quite dark there, so always a battle to get enough light, so a filter will be useful only to keep flying beer out of your lens, though it is invaluable for that. 😃
@@LouSmith xx I think, too, I need to alter my white balance. Will do the white card trick. Beer would certainly add some technicolour (LOL for that one xx)
Yup. My second time filming. Seen them progress over the last year or two. I think they’re gonna smash it now. A summer of festival exposure will do them the world of good.
@@LouSmith I hope for them.. On the other hand I am far too agoraphobic and anti-capitalist to appreciate festivals in general... too much of everything and anything for my taste... What does it matter I wish them to accomplish their music and their wishes...
There are full of good bands, and sometimes there's a great one. This is one of them. Glad to hear them at the onset of their "career".

i shed a tear every time I listen to this thanks for recording lou
Woo. That’s intense. You’re welcome. Strange to think of the unintended consequences that my efforts have brought. Thanks for sharing your one.

You definitely need to move here 😉
What a gig. Great to watch it back!
Yeah. 🙏 I watched it back as soon as I got home!
These guys are so sick! I’m surprised at the (relative) lack of buzz
That buzz is just around the corner! A whole bunch of people gonna get to see them at Green Man. They’ll be coming straight here after to see if they were dreaming.
Yes, would slay the competition on Jools Holland show. Hopefully this Lou Smith special will go viral if there's any justice in the world...

🙏 Yes, I’m glad to be able to bring it to you. This was a special long set, and a great one.
Such great band!
This was a great show too!
Yes! Been following these guys on insta for a while, heard only good things but this (to me) is confirmation.. the kids have got it x

Cannot wait to see these guys in November holy shit

Yesss boyz!! Fckn killin it!🎉❤
And girlz! Killing it!

🙌
Prog rock is making a comeback!
You can say that again.

🙏 can’t be giving away all my secrets now. Focus is all manual. By eye, sometimes by distance estimate. Increasingly by muscle memory.

I'm no expert, but try using a filter (physical)

Holy crap! Is that rick rubin???
😂 I can’t see it myself.
also are these tracks confirmed? i got confirmation the debut ep is being released on vinyl!
If by confirmed, you mean correct for the tracks, then, yes, these were sent by Joe himself.
@@LouSmith oh epic thanks!!
i got to talk to them on twitch! they where so nice!
They’re very nice. I never talked to them on twitch! though. Only irl.
Same here. They temp banned me because I sent fake credit card info that was actually pretty close to a members credit card info
😂 great wheeze. Temp ban sounds lenient!
@@capnbugbro what 😭
Attempted fraud. I ain't proselytising, just saying the powers that be don't like that shit. Unless it's them doing it off course 😂
Very very iimpressive!!!

Oh God. Me too. I don’t think I’ll be attending a festival any time soon, but they’re great for crossover discoveries of random new bands.
kinda underground prog rock! i dont know..they will have their own following but cant see them being that big
I’m reckoning this comment is gonna age rather badly. Maybe not. I definitely see them getting pretty big.
