A while ago i did a series of videos where i showcased all of the times viv has shown the human designs for the hazbin hotel cast. There’s one character i missed, which was the hotel’s maid nifty.
In this drawing we see human nifty and she says are they dead, did i kill them?.
This has a couple interesting lore implications. Firstly I think this is showing the tragic event that got niffty into hell in the first place. She killed multiple people, perhaps in a fit of blind rage and after she killed them she realised what she did, and maybe took her own life.
Secondly it confirms that the blotches on nifty’s outfit are actually blood splatters from the people she murdered.

Nifty's backstory is very underrated. It reminds me of the teacher from HB ep1 who killed her husband in blind rage as well. Im not sure but it would be kinda cool if Nifty was based off of that woman.
Totally agree. She was probably a housewife who caught her husband cheating on her. Could explain her love for sewing and keeping things tidy.
I think Niffty actually inspired the teacher.

Something interesting about the bloodsplotches being on her outift, is the fact that all sinners have features which they dont like about themselves.
It is possible that the bloodsplatters remaining on her new form in hell serves, somewhat, to torment her.
Do they? What features does everyone have that they don’t like?
@@allshookup1640I know that Husk canonically hates his sinner form / cat features, but I’m not sure about the others. Although since their forms are linked to how they died the vast majority of the time (but not always), ie. the camp counciler from Helluva boss in unhappy campers, I can imagine them hating features to do with how they died. I can see Alastor probably disliking his deer like form as well (although not confirmed canon I think), again linked with how he died if not retconned
Maybe that’s why she is obsessed with cleaning (this theory is completely made up by me as of two seconds ago so don’t quote me) she killed her husband and his mistress then in a panic started cleaning the blood, but it wasn’t working and she couldn’t get everything. Wile in this panicked state she kills herself.
Now she is tormented by the images of the two bodies and all the blood so everything around her needs to be spotless.
Everything except the three blotches on her shirt. Those,no matter how hard she tries, she can never wash out.

@@Chaos_Gremlin23 Actually she's small now because she's themed after a bug, which I didn't know until I saw what her demon form will/was supposed to look like, and she was also supposed to have to "antlers"/ hair strands that would stick up when she got excited

I think I’m starting to get the design the big eye represents how she can’t unsee what she it the blood and the spider like legs represent how she was about people a bug getting on there because with he insane self

I think what mister Brock Morrison is trying to say is that the single eye represents Niffty not being able to unsee the blood and the horrors, while her spider-like legs lend to her being seen as a bug by those she met/served, partly due to maybe being a bit insane even before she killed them.
Or maybe she had both eyes when she was alive but because of the guilt she could have stabbed one of her eyes which is why she has one that's my opinion

So, if I were to assume, it went somewhat like this. Nifty was hired as a maid to some house by a married couple with kids, the husband's name being Fred (the name she gave to the carpet stain). Then some messed up stuff happened, ending in Nifty murdering the people who hired her right in front of their children. Then her sanity rapidly went downhill, as she was trying to get rid of evidence and wash away blood stains from the carpet. And then she either took her own life, or went completely insane and lived the rest of her days in an asylum.
She fell in love with a guy from the wrong neighborhood, and he cheated on her. She killed them both in a blind rage and was shot by the cops during a police standoff
Suicide by cop is more common than most people think, and I tend to agree with this theory so far.
Id say she probably cut her eye out somehow while she was killing herself, making her one eyed in hell
the recent helluva boss episodes seems to indicate that if a sinner loses their eye while alive, then they end up with one eye and a hole
but might vary from sinner to sinner based upon the injury...maybe Niffty had one of her eyes damaged before she died, hence why she is a cyclops
I don't know if helluva has much to do with Hazbin and I don't exactly watch helluva that much, but one of the targets with that "she's a hero" quote got shot in the eye but kept it somehow, but had a hole anyway in her 'sinner form' (sry if this doesn't make sense 😭-

Like how the drawing of Niffty's human form give a little part of Niffty's past and i think her human look just looks amazing.

Nifty being crazy became so natural to me that I tend to forget she was a human before going to hell
That audio synced so well with the clip what the hell-
With nifty during her life it was stated that she died during the 1950 after being crazed lover who got shot by cops that’s indicated the 3 pretty visible blood holes on her dress when she died it warped her mind to begin very ocd and having discrimination against as well due to a lot asian ingredients during her time as human on earth as it’s was speculated her family immigrated to the states shortly after ww2 it was like she had the deck stacked against her in every way until she snapped and killed the person she had a crush on but that just a lot of speculation but it seem to be more true over time
Driven to insanity after murdering people sounds like a fitting backstory for her

i would be very interesting to see if it is shown that she realised her mistake in killing someone and then either went insane trying to cope or realised that she liked killing. I would love to see how she ended up the way she did in Hazbin, since the 2 portayals of the character contrast each other
Well I’m guessing that’s also how and why she went insane and is unhinged in the main series

I always assumed Niffty was a girl who killed off her parents, possibly an abuse victim which explained her obsession with cleaning and cleanliness and her innocent child-like nature. The whole wanting a 'bad boy' like a teenage girl.

To Me I always thought the blood splatters were either 1. How Niffty got killed either shot maybe by police after she was found killing someone or maybe by another person who came in and stabbed her. Or #2 she stabbed herself multiplr times after realizing what she’d done

From what I heard from many people nifty was it assassinated and killed 99 people when she was forced to kill the last one and she was climbing down the chimney and they said it on fire and she burned

My theory is that the murder of the people she killed ( probably her husband, mistress, and herself) drove her insane. That’s why she is how she is during the show

I think she was a household wife and I walked in of her husband cheating on her and then started crying and then went into a fit of blind rage because of the black lines coming out of her eyes like she was crying because that only happens when someone is wearing makeup and starts crying so she must have been wearing makeup and crying and then went to a fit of blind rage and killed her husband and the person he was cheating on

It completely explains Niftys OCD/cleaning obsession. She likely cleaned up all the blood and kept cleaning and cleaning till she couldnt anymore. This is similar to Macbeth. When they kill the kind Mrs. Macbeth keeps washing her hands again and again trying to get the blood off even though its all been wsshed away. Paranoia, anxiety, and panic set in. I feel it is like this. It is a headcannon and I actually thought of this before seeing this art! But if anyone agrees please inform me. Personally to me it makes comeplete sence and if she was also a house wife it adds to the connected dots

My theory is : Nifty was a housewife as that’s why she’s loves keeping things clean and tidy she came home from shopping and saw her husband cheating on her so she had grabbed a freshly sharpened knife from the cabinet and had stabbed both his mistress and her husband after realising what she had done she had stabbed out her eye but made sure there wouldn’t be blood everywhere and she went into hell she started going crazy after seeing all of the mess and blood and that is why she loves killing bugs and has a so called ” crazy little mind ” she also treats alastor like a person she’s known since she was 5 as probably when she was alive she was friends with her husband and that’s my theory
I think that maybe she stabbed her eye out in the process because you said in one of your other videos that in helluva boss, their demon forms are probably partly based on how they died.
If you look up how Nifty died, it would show that she was a watch wife that worked at the house.He found his husband his Side chick and so she killed the girl and her husband then killed Nifty.

Personally I like the theory of Niffty being lobotomized (she’s described as a 1950s housewife, a time period where women were lobotomized for being “crazy”), which is why she has one eye but two tear ducts. Combining this with the theories in the comments of her murdering her husband and his mistress, she could’ve potentially done just that, and died on the operating table after being diagnosed criminally insane

I think Nifty was rather young when she died-- her outfit is a poodle skirt, which was something a lot of preteen and younger teen girls wore in the 1950s.
