  • Jordan Stephens speaks as the second proposition for the motion on Thursday 2nd May 2024 in the Debating Chamber.
The second debate grapples with the legacy and future of masculinity. In an age where even the most genuine criticisms of the social expectations of masculinity have led to extreme backlash, we ask whether the core values and virtues associated with modern masculinity can be defended and cherished, or whether our retention of the idea prevents true liberation for all.

This is how future debates should go. Allow acknowledgement of agreement. Focus on refining understanding rather than winning based on rhetorical theatre. Here here!
