My cousin is an international correspondent for a foreign news network and he's covered some war torn area in the middle east during the height of the war on terror, including the years following its aftermath, and despite the dangers that could befall international journalists in those region, he told me they generally never felt that they were specifically targeted for *being journalists*

We emulated the Democracy of Ancient Greece, but we ignored the voting system that they invented. Everybody was able to count the number of votes, in terms of pebbles, in two urns. Pebbles? Is that the solution? LOL No. We need to go back to a more transparent voting system, but in a more modern way. We need a method where everyone, not just backroom workers, can verify the votes, yet keep their anonymity. As a minimum, every citizen should get two linked secret numbers a few to six months before the election. The first number is used during voting. The second number will be published in a file along with the corresponding voting results. The file(s) will contain the voting results for every valid number and be made public for every state. Everyone will be able to verity that their vote was recorded correctly, even those that did not vote. Everyone can add up the results to see if they make sense for every state.

During the riot, federal property was damaged which can easily be covered by taxpayer money. Insurance can only pay for so much when blm burns down your business.
The fatalities and injuries were of a far less number than those at blm riots.

He is the SOLE person among HUNDREDS or THOUSANDS who either actively threatened that crew or tacitly approved of it through silence. That group WAS violent and it WAS exclusively Trump supports and MAGA proponents. Threats of violence towards the media (President Trump’s “enemy of the people”) is a foundational pillar of what his supporters espouse. That IS who they are... and if the guy in orange doesn’t hold those tendencies and willingness towards violence, then he should denounce President Trump, the people at that riot, the ideals of MAGA, and the current iteration or the Republican Party. Otherwise, all he’s doing is help perpetuate the ignorant, misguided, hate-fueled beliefs we saw at the Capitol.

Actually, the camera is the biggest weapon in that crowd. It's an objective witness to crimes, able to put rioters in prison, and show the truth to the rest of us that can't be there and see it for ourselves. The media is what they believe has twisted the truth and turned the country against Trump. Of course, they never complained about the media when it was used to get Trump elected in the first place, but I'm just nitpicking. The camera is definitely the biggest threat to those people.
