I was in Bridgton in 1978. I had just turned 18 and remember the National Guard working on 128, etc.. in 1976 I helped paint the roof of a barn in Lovell. A Mr Koops. Great times.

You forgot to mention that if you're outside in that kind of weather for any length of time, the condensation from your nose and your mouth will freeze into ice on your beard and your mustache up to a1/4 inch. If you bring boiling water outside in an open container at that temperature it will freeze if you toss it into the air and it will turn into snow instantly.

I have to admit I enjoy your videos a lot (yes, I already subscribed after the first video I watched), but after watching this video, I still want to move to the Bangor area, and that comes from someone that I absolutely hate the cold and snow! I am hoping to move in the next 2 years. Moving from Reno NV.

I grew up in CT. I’m now in Denver. Miss New England. Visited my folks during labor day and realized during the night that all I heard was crickets, owls, and rain. No sirens, no car alarms, no homeless screams tripping on drugs…amazing. I don’t think New England by the coast is bad at all. In Denver it snows just like this…except they don’t plow or clean roads. They don’t cancel things. Many accidents. 9n New England they cancel and give you at least 90 min delays or the day off lol.

Haha yes. We also had an old town cemetery in our back yard…so the naighbors we did have were very quiet! 😁. Interesting side note, the oldest stone with an inscription said “died 1813”. This fella could have lived in the 1700s!
Best of the best videos on long, hard, cold winters in new england. Only way to survive is to stay drunk. Do not fall for the lies about charming new england. It sucks, except for a few days in july and august. That's it.

The other three seasons are just terrible too, especially the one with all those dead leaves to clean up. Don't even take a peak at New England during those times. You know we have the great white sharks everywhere now. Even more reason to not consider moving here.

You are correct. Our cats and dogs used to get snow caught up between their legs when they went out deep in the stuff.
