Funnel charts are excellent at visualizing the conversion of items in a process, such as sales conversion. Funnel charts visualize the progressive reduction of data as it moves from one phase to another.
The funnel chart is not a standard chart type in Tableau, and we will be showcasing not one, but two different methods on how to create the perfect funnel chart! - Наука та технологія
That middle line trick, i wouldnt have thought in 10 years! I watched your whole video to figure out how you got rid of that middle line since I already have the whole funnel! :D you saved me hours of trial and error, thanks! :)
Excellent tutorial. Thank you!
Hi! Thanks for this helpful tutorial. I was wondering if this funnel chart is possible to be filtered by date if there were data from past dates? Basically adding a date filter.
@SuperDataScience - this video is AMAZING!!!
In the back of my mind, I can't stop thinking HOW you learned this?!?
This was very helpful video sir. Thankyou so much for this💕🙌
Hi. can you explain the behavior of the functions ATTR and why you have created the formula ?
@SuperDataScience, why is my first value turning updown? Meaning the identify status in your example case.
Edit 1: I understood that the table calculations is creating problems. Please anyone help
Can you provide the path to the data set used the funnel chart video? Thanks
I'm following your chart example but, when I add labels to the first marks card it turns the left side into lines leading into the right side of the funnel which is kinda cool, but I can't semm to replicate your labeling and keep the whole funnel. Any ideas?
Is there any way to change the height of each of the bars in the first visualization?
Is there a limit as to how many measure values can be in the measure values shelf?
Man this video is bomb!
Would like to know how to get the percentage number based on the first status, which is Identify.
Identify = 100%
Purse = 80%
etc.
When I select table down it combines measure values with the one below it.
how do i create the funnel chart if i didn't want percentage of total, but total volume?
Thanks for the wonderful stepwise video!! Can you please suggest how to get Identify=100%... Pursue = 80%.. Contact = 60% and so on? That will show how the % vary between different steps.
I know I'm replying years later, but I found a solution and figured in might help others. I created a calculated field as follows: SUM([Value]) / WINDOW_MAX(SUM([Value]))
That should give the total based on Identify=100%, then drag to the label tile :)
I don't understand... there are 6 color in legend, but there are only 5 color in charts... is it due to how small the last color is? It shouldn't be it, would it? Please explain
Can you throw more light on what exactly happened when you created the calculated field and why the lookup is needed?
Hi Impulsive Life, using this method we needed to created a new calculated field for each step in the sales process. These calculated fields are required to calculate the sum of of values where the status is equal to the given value, or equal to the previous value. The lookup is required to determine the previous value as we are also working with Table Calculations.
@@ArtofVisualization Can I do this automatically? Because I have a lot of steps in the funnel, and create field by field is slowling.
Thanks for your help
wow amazing!
Thanks for your comment Wendy!
hi , i cant see the 'Won' color in funnel chart option 2 . only 5 color available when we used 6 filed name, pl. explain .how we can get won color in chart 2
Hi Shailendra,
The first funnel chart shows each stage as an individual block, assigning one colour per block.
However, the second chart option shows each stage as a transition from one to another. Meaning there are 6 colours but you only see five clearly, as the last colour is so small in comparison to the others it is just a yellow line.
Hope this helps.
Excellent
Thanks for your feedback Nitin
Nice! But you have nice format. Can I make funnel with data like: step 1 - how many rows has some condition in table1, step 2 - how many rows with different condition in table2 ... with using calculated field as you show in Funnel II.. ?
Hi Michaela, Unfortunately data prep is key when using this approach and I will strongly suggest to manipulate your data into the format that I have used. Don't forget you can easily do this with Tableau Prep application!
My funnel does not change color by category
Can you give us a explanitation about why won phase does not show in the funnel ? please....
I also came here to find out why won does not show up
Why don't you see the shape for the Won?
To get the final 'tail' for the won bucket, you can duplicate and rename the 'Won' metric then add it to the bottom of the funnel. Then hide the final metric.
Thanks for your comment Byron
Hi, could you describe your method a little bit more specifically? I wasn't able to add the final tail, following your prescriptions
@@user-bt6zz4sv9w Thats because his prescription is wrong
When i flip from Bar to area my graph line goes really thin, how can I keep the width so it remains like yours?
Hi Matt,
Thanks for adding to this thread.
You may need to change the size of your visual within the worksheet of change the formatting of the visual:
