For me Melissa has stolen the show with her performances. Her anguish and emotions through the show are the most believable. She has choked me up on several occassions and i'm a pretty hardened viewer who usually isn't moved by much. She is a first rate actress and has done a wonderful job.
Carol is such a great character. She's by far one of the most complex and compelling characters in the series. I'm so glad they didn't kill her in the show like they did the comic.

The job Melissa McBride did bringing 'Carol Pelletier' to life on TWD was exemplary. I recall Season 1, Carol was an abused wife and mom... Season 2, she loses her daughter Sophia in a significant episode... Season 3, Carol survives, but sees 'T-Dog' die to save her, and we see her visibly harden as a character when she tells Andrea to kill the Governor... Season 4, this is where Carol truly starts to emerge as a character - discovering that she killed 2 people and burned their bodies to attempt to stop the plague... Being a mother hen to 3 girls, and then executing one for killing her sister... Season 5, Carol takes her place as a key series character when she frees the group from Terminus...becomes a key survivor.
Melissa McBride is a class act all the way. Most of the reason that I continued to watch TWD was because of her character. Any episode she is in is already a hit in my book. When and if they kill Carol off, the show will never be the same for me again. She has always been my favorite character on the show. This is the first time I have ever seen an interview with just her in it and even though the person doing the interview wasn't great.... she was and I enjoyed watching her.
Anyone watching in 2021? Melissa is clearly more comfortable doing this one on one interview than she is with the larger group interviews in front of audiences. The writers understand Carol’s character and how she evolves during the seasons. I completely relate to Carol’s journey!

This woman IS seriously hot and probably the best on the show. I don't know, there is just something about Melissa McBride and what she brings to the character of Carol that goes above and beyond. Yeah, Oh yeah,,,...She is the best of the best. As far as the series is concerned, fiction....I have 3.5 years in Iraq and 1 year in Afghanistan. I have been in some nasty crowds and I feel that the characters have it pretty good. In my experiences the opposites were not dead "Zombies" but very much alive and really pissed off at just about everything. I think that this is a duality that makes the series very popular among those of us in(presently) or were "over there." Either way, God Bless Ms. McBride, you have my respect for your work............

Carol is a total assassin. She is a stone cold killer in the show. My favorite character and Melissa plays Carol utterly brilliantly.
I think she is phenomenal but I don't agree that she is a stone-cold killer. She anguishes over the things she has to do. That is why she disappeared for a while. She needed to heal from the trauma of what she must do to survive and protect others.

She is beautiful and gifted. So glad for her success. If they killed her off, I wouldn't watch anymore. It's bad enough that some day the show will end, losing Carol would deep-six the show for me. I was glad when she left the king. He was too two-dimensional. I would love to see her draw Daryl out more. Still waters run deep and her character gets that about him and sees through Daryl's silences. Much as I love this program, I could see her playing any part she chose, doctor, cop, lawyer, astronaut. She has enormous range and is completely believable and convincing. We love you, Melissa.

Every child in the series gravitates towards her and every child she gets near, or loves or cares about ends up dead. Though no fault of her own. Carole seems to become more aware of her curse throughout the series, and becomes mean to kids... Because shes afraid to love a child because she knows what comes next. Sad. =[

The day Jamie Lee Curtis decides not to return for the Halloween 2018 sequel if they do make a sequel, then they could very easily replace her with Melissa McBride to play as Laurie Strode. But I know Jamie Lee Curtis would want to do the sequel to Halloween 2018 if they do make it, so I don't think they'll ever replace her with some other actress to play her role of Laurie Strode. At the end of day only Jamie Lee Curtis can play Laurie Strode better than anyone else and she even has said she enjoys it (with the exception of Halloween H20) because in that H20 movie she wasn't as invested in the character of Laurie Strode and said she was only doing it for the money.
