Would we be traveling along a fixed timeline or along our own higher dimensional bridge into a new 3rd dimensional realm of existence? If the second option is true time travel might be dimensional travel. Straight up 5th dimensional, travel to universes where different events happened. Would that be evidence of simulation theory?

Perhaps, although I’m not a fan of anything that smacks of multiverse; seems like a cop-out. No reason superposition cannot contain exotic paths.
