Oh. My bad. It's just that I've read a lot of people worried about in-mission timers. Geoscape timers overlapping will be the bread and butter of having success.
+Chris McFarlane There is indeed a DOOMS day timer in the game, it fills up, you ship out to the game over screen. However the missions that allow you to STOP the timer for a bit are frequent...BUT...more difficult then other missions available at the time.
The Advent Project timer is the only thing that throws me off, dont get me wrong, ive completed XCOM 2 a few times, but i always like to replay, was thinking of another XCOM 2 replay but i really cant be bothered with the Advent Project timer, so gonna go and play XCOM Enemy Within instead, atleast no timer there.
@@williamcase426 Actually, way better, at first I Didn't like anything, but as I gave a chance to it, I realized that all those new features were all for good, a way more complex Game, a hell of dfficulty i'd said, unlike Xcom 1, that snipers just do all the job for free
+DANTE FROM THE DEVIL MAY CRY SERIES I thought the last one worked pretty good on console. the controls aren't really free-flowing like most strategy, RTS games are (think Xcom vs Command & Conquer). Since all movement is on a grid, controllers are perfectly capable of it. It isn't the best scenario (PC is better), but it's serviceable for those who don't have a PC rig
Really hope the timer doesn't ruin the game
+Chris McFarlane Not all missions have timers. I've seen several kinds of missions without timers.
+Andrés da Silveira Stein I think Chris was talking about the mission map expiration timers, not the turn based combat timer.

It does. Bad luck

Enemy Within > X com 2
You can get a mod to remove the timer
enemy within has timers too, such as only have certain number of turns before bomb goes off
The medic has also changed for the better. You can give Medikit to anyone anywhere in the map.
Xcom 2 is not Xcom. No interceptions, no council, no XCom.
What would you call it then? 🤔
The biggest and most important change totally ignored.... mod support
Enemy unknown and enemy within are great. That’s the biggest difference
Plz be good
first
Looks like the learning curve for this one is pretty steep
I love both games but my favourite is xcom 1
Gotta defend against those ufos
sup
nice paid review but xcom 2 sucks 1 is better
Xcom 2 is still pretty good though 🤔

Wait can you cheat in xcom 2 and can you still use the xcom hero cheat I want to know
+Victor Torres12 Playing on anything less than "Impossible" setting is cheating, so yeah.
+Doubt I'm gonna cheat so frickin hard.
+Rikard Nilsson name a trooper "Peter Van Doorn". cheat character.
+pendraco2000 Not that much
I'm sad it's not coming on console...
It is I think. Odd choice since strategy games don't work well on consoles.

+Rob Fike true, but it isn't an RTS.
true I was just thinking about other 'strategy' genres as well. Console controller works just fine for these Firaxis, turn-based strategy titles
+DANTE FROM THE DEVIL MAY CRY SERIES
I played XCOM Enemy Unknown on PC with a controller. It felt great for me.
endlich wieder xcom :)
