I love corned beef - brought up on it - my late Mum's corned beef and potatoe pie was something you rushed home for. These days I can open a tin and put it aside for sandwiches or cooking without temptation.
I can remember a time when every recipe or set of sandwiches was always destined to be that one slice short - took a strong-willed person to open that tin and not quietly grab a surreptitious slice for themselves.
Not sure which of us has gone downhill - the corned beef or me.

At 80, I still love to cook, when I can find the wind for it. Got a few recipes stored on YT - but I can't even decide where to store this!
But that isn't going to stop me trying this at the earliest opportunity.
OMG - just looks like the business.
How big do I want my corned beef balls? Don't try to tell me you didn't have a tongue in cheek when you asked that.
Definitely on a plate tomorrow if I can raise the wind. Please stop saying crunchy - I really do need to wait for tomorrow.
Love the way you do the garlic, by the way. Over the years, I've tried everything from garlic presses to those hand-roller affairs. Finally given up. Just get busy with very sharp knife - everything else is a waste of time and a dishwashing problem.
