Sitting, being held upright, playing airplane, and even side lying can count as tummy time. It's anytime that your baby has a chance to work their back and neck muscles. My son exceeds the recommended amount of tummy time because he was strong from day one and very active. Unfortunately, watching your video made me realize I've neglected to give him time on his back to practice rolling from back to front. He hates laying down. He wants to be up looking at everything and I never thought it was an issue because they don't encourage exercising your baby that way, but he slept swaddled until now so he is rolling that way at all! Plus, like you said, it's hard to make time to give them any kind of laying down exercise since everything has to be just so before you do. Sigh, what's a mom to do. I guess everything is a sacrifice and you just do the best you can. (My son loves playing airplane. You just hold them on their belly and fly them around. So cute!)
my 5month little girl is rolling over from back to front but I want to try her to roll the other way, also my little one was smiling and giggling at your video
Just let nature take its course ..they will do it when the time comes. Feed them well, let them stretch
