I heard new Gad & oil deals were made by the chairman of COP and smaller countries. He wants to help develop their oil & gas. So the big 20 will reduce but smaller countries will make up difference and large corps will still make billions.

Is there any person willing to discuss Oil? We're burning through 100 billion barrels of oil equivalent fossil fuels energy every year. Easy oil is gone. Oil today is lower energy quality, loaded with pollutants and water. Energy returned on investment continues to decline. Worse case is tar sands in Canada. Burn 2 barrels for energy to get three barrels of usable but filthy oil. Fracked wells deplete much faster than conventional wells. In addition to inevitable depletion oil and natural gas in particular the only way to feed 8 billion precious humans is using fertilizer made from methane gas! Burning these hydrocarbons for transportation and energy is suicidal, we need the resource for food.

The interviewer is missing Indonesia and indias coal commitments. Frustrating that majority of interviewers are unprepared and arrive with a singular focus on China. West has crowned India as the next powerhouse. NEVER once mentioning that to become the new China they will need to emit billions of tons of greenhouse gases pollution just to build infrastructure which already exists in China. Ditto US new green deal. Were duplicating tens of thousands of factories and supply chains that already exist. This idiocy, me ght makes right, punishing the endless list of enemies dujour the US cooks up as a threat to our freedumb. There's 8 billion precious humans today and every year another 80 million, the population of the UK joins us. Nationalism and these infuriating never ending WARS OF CHOICE will be the death of civilization. Worshipping the Golden Calf is all the rage in this hyper individualized time. Who gives a damn about the commons, the greater world, our fellow humans its all about ME ME ME ME
