It was clear that Lena loved Kara. Nobody can convince me she reacted to the betrayal with the rage that she did over a friendship. Her reaction was of someone denying a side of her that she kept hidden and then suddenly to find it was based on a lie caused severe emotional damage. It would take her months to come to the realization that she had been wrong, that it wasn't 1 sided like she thought. Once she realized that Kara had also been in denial, her focus changed. She saw that Kara cared just as much and also had been lying to herself. This is made clear by the fact that season 6 was all about Lena helping Kara except who she is. If we look at the hidden meaning behind nearly all of their conversations in season 6 we can see that by this point, Lena knows who and what she is and is helping Kara except who she is as well. I can safely say that if we look at the context of the words, Lena wants Kara to see they are in love with each other.
The interactions between Lena and Kara are unmistakable. Went from being 2 people who were highly guarded and self conflicted. Upon their first encounter there's instant chemistry which eventually creates a bond that surpasses friendship and almost all romances I've ever seen. They push each other to become who they truly always were. I believe they edited the kiss scene out of the last episode and then leaked it purposefully. Simple confirmation of what was always so apparent in the under and overtones in all of their interactions with one another. What we saw between Lena and Kara was the deepest connection two people can possibly have. For instance I took notice when Lena spoke of her ex she said they were together for 2 years but it took 5 years to reach that point. On the last episode of 5 seasons/years knowing each other. Their words to each other were shine your light and let yourself be who you are, inspiring one another to open even further. Kara Puts the glasses down and walks intently towards Lena. I'll end in saying they didn't have to make mention of their sexuality what so ever. All the subtlety, body language, true meaning behind the dialogue, embracing one another in the most loving ways possible. In worlds 🌍 filled with such ugliness two people with love for each other like Lena and Kara had is truly beautiful. That's all I got.
