    I love my 11m hyperlink! Just on the snow so far, but I am excited to get it on the water this summer. I'm actually pretty amazed at the wind range honestly. I've flown in 7mph to 30mph.
    Thanks for the video!

    I bought a v3 13 meter for ultra low wind freeride foil, and light wind strapless surfboard. I can foil when no tube kite can stay up. I am very happy with it. Using 27 meter race lines. (More wind up high at my local spot) 210lbs. Can’t speak for durability only a few sessions in.

    Great video as always! I will probably get one to complement my quiver, but I am not sure about the size. Which size would you recommend for 110kg for foiling from high tens to low twenties (I am using R1 v2 21m on 17m lines for up to 15-17kts atm)? And how high could I go with the same kite on TT?

    Hi Gunnar, thanks always for your great videos.
    I have been missing from fuerteventura for a year and I miss it a lot!
    I practice Hydrofoil with a Moses 91 - 633, Groove Wave board, I think it's a fantastic combo!
    I have never used a foil sail, but I only use pump sails> Duotone Mono 9 and 11 2020.
    I get along very well with the Mono; with 8 knots I plane with the 11 Mono
    I weigh 85 kg and I would like to go out in ultra light wind (6-10 knots),
    I like to surf the waves and do some tricks. I don't care about speed.
    I would like to take an Ozone hyperlink V2 13mt.
    Do you think it is the right size for me?
    or better the Chrono V4 15 meters?
    Thanks for your valuable advice
    Francis

    Hi Gunnar. Flew my new 11m hL v2 yesterday on the onda, wind 10-15mph. I can do much more on the hydrofoil with a kite that drifts vs my lei kites, new sensation. Question. Is there a break in period on the bridle like the flysurfer ? It felt like the steering lines needed to be shortened. Using a new ozone v4 bar with 25m lines (going to change them to 20m next ). Thanks

    Gunnar, I hope you are well.
    May I ask you a question?
    I am going to buy a hyperlink 9m or 11m for hydrofoiling in light winds 6 knots +.
    I use an Axis SP660 front foil and 400 rear foil.
    I foil mainly medium distances 5 to 10km between islands and some play in waves.
    I weigh 80kg, intermediate level and I ride strapless.
    I use an ozone EXP 9m in the mountains snowkiting but my concern is that a 9m on the water may not have enough to reliably get me up and foiling hence perhaps the 11m hyperlink.
    Which size would you say is best to get me up and going in such light winds; 9m or 11m?
    You have all my thanks in advance

    Great video. I like to foil on my F-one foil at 10-11 knots wind on a 13 m contra. It turns fast & depowers great. But if there are lulls to7- 8 knots, the kite may fall. If I were to think about a v2 for lower winds (8 knots?) up to say 12/13 knots, what size hyperlink would you recommend? I'm like 205 lbs, and if the wind goes up, switch to surfboard and then twintip. Thanks!!

    • @GunnarBiniasch
      @GunnarBiniasch  5 років тому

      At your weight I would use the 13m. It has amazing high end range too. So you will get the best of both worlds. It will fly well in those 7-8 knot lulls and will be great on a twin tip when the wind is strong.

    Gunnar nice review. i have 143 lbs and planning to get one v2. What size would you recommend for foiling in 8 to 10 knots (9m or 11m) for my weight?

    • @GunnarBiniasch
      @GunnarBiniasch  5 років тому +1

      Hi Darko. It really depends on your skill and how big your wings are. If you are using large surf type wings you can get away with the 9m. With smaller Kitefoil wings, you probably need the 11m

    Gunnar primero darte las gracias por los vídeos tan completos que haces, ahora mi gran duda que no se que comprarme, para navegar con un foil Moses Onda en 7-8 knots haciendo freeride que preferirías una Alpha de 14 m2 o una Hyperlink v2 13 m2? Thanks.

      Preferido la HyperlinkV2. Tiene más rendimiento en vientos ligeros.

    Thanks for an informative review. Definitely need to try it. But I have another question. In the video the bar you use does not look like the Ozone bar. Is it something you have built or have they come out with a new bar? Looked really light and simple.

    • @GunnarBiniasch
      @GunnarBiniasch  5 років тому +1

      No. That is my custom Groove Carbon bar. The Bar is the previous 2017 Carbon System Bar from Groove, the depower rope is the from Epirigs and all the other rigging is home made.

    How would you compare the 9m to the 11m in low-end? Thinking about a hyperlink V2 for foiling and snowkiting. For snowkite I think 9 is enough but for foiling I'm in doubt if 9 is big enough to ride at 6 knots, but because it's faster its maybe no difference to 11?

    • @GunnarBiniasch
      @GunnarBiniasch  5 років тому +1

      The 9m can be used both for snowkiting and foiling in that wind. It will fly stable, however if you get going depends on your skill and your foil/skis and your skill. The 11m will give you more power in 6 knots obviously and will allow you to park the kite earlier. The V2s like V1s have amazing high end, so you can cover quite some range with the 11m too. For freeride foiling I use the 7m with big surf foil from 7-8 knots with 20m lines

    Any insight on the comparison to the fs soul ? Thanks.

    • @GunnarBiniasch
      @GunnarBiniasch  5 років тому +3

      That would be like comparing Apples and Oranges. The Soul is more comparable to the ChronoV3. Both are performance freeride kites. Flysurfer does not have a comparable kite yet.
      But basically. But if I have to compare one to one The Hyperlink V2 is faster turning, more stable and easier to relaunch than the Soul. It is also more drifty in waves and has more depower through the bar. The Soul has more hangtime, turns slower with more power, is harder to relaunch , is less stable, does not drift.

      Gunnar Biniasch Thanks Gunnar. I appreciate it. What would be one good sized hyperlink v2 to foil in 7-13 knots and to have fun on a twintip thereafter ? I’m 72kg.

    • @GunnarBiniasch
      @GunnarBiniasch  5 років тому

      @@coyoteface . Probably the 13m. It really depends on your skill and how big a wing you are using too. You might get away with an 11 or 9m if you have the skills and a big wing like the Moses Onda etc.

      Hi Gunnar. I had a chance to get on a 12m soul. Although a nice kite I’m not a fan of front line flying kites and the steering was too slow. Getting a 11m hL v2 this week. Wondering what line length works best , I think you are using 20m. Also how much do you weigh to get by on a 7 m kite in 8knots ?

    • @GunnarBiniasch

      It is slightly different as the V2 reefs the kite together and the V1 Does not.

    i own and do not recommend hyperlink v2. pulleys and zippers are low quality and will break and malfunction after less than a year of occasional use. they did not honor warranty for pulleys for me saying it was “misused” and had sand in it. i think they are well aware their pulleys and zippers are low wuality and they fail. just fyi kiters.
