The insurance value your car based on the cost the insurance will incur to compensate you to return you to the same status incase your car is stole, or damaged. This is usually not the market price of that car which includes all the applicable taxes. Which value will the govt use? What about those cars in the car yards that have 3rd party covers without owners. Does this mean that motor car dealers must pay this tax on unsold stock? What if the car is paid for today and sold off tomorrow? Lastly is this tax an allowable expense?
