I was moved by Wales’s heart and grit. They represented their country with distinction in front of their home crowd despite all the massive challenges off the pitch that don’t necessarily have anything to do with those boys putting their bodies on the line for their country. those experienced monsters of men went against our young boys, and their heads diddnt drop and they kept staying positive, they diddnt try and slow the game down they did not use dirty slow down tactics at scrum time or line out time they really tried to beat the best in the world fair play I’m more hopeful for the future of wales rugby than I have been over the last 2yrs congratulations South Africa 🇿🇦 hopefully see u nxt autumn with a more experienced battle hardened welsh squad

As a Wales supporter of 25+ yrs, I've seen the bad and the ugly and this is far worse than the ugliest. There is a reason why we have never lost this amount of times in a row and that used to be Italy as our saving grace but they are doing great and kicking our arse.

If you think Wales issues are down to the coach it’s ridiculous. Wales has little money, a broken club and schools systems and a decline in the numbers of players now and coming through. Gatland has not failed he’s doing the best he can with the pool he has. Short term it’s like getting Doctors to cross over the Severn Bridge and work in Wales. We need to pay foreign players to come to Wales in the short term to boost interest, boost confidence and skill levels and get Welsh youth and schools functioning plus lots of other things that I’m not qualified to say but Gats is. Support him and be Welsh ie. Not fair weather supporters. Or go watch football

As a Springbok supporter from South Africa, I believe Wales coaching staff did a good job in preparing their team with a great attitude of never giving up. The average test rugby players in
team is 14 caps. Two Springboks has more caps than their average of 15 players.
Your Rugby Union needs to give Gatland more time to develop these players. They are young players, and time will mould them into great players.

  • @kurukoei

From a Saffa. Gatland is a great coach, and great coaches don't become poor coaches overnight. He took Wales to no1 in 2019 and won lot of silverware. He is a Lions coach and a good guy. He is working with young inexperienced players. Welsh teams are struggling in the URC and there doesn't appear to be structures in place to bring players through the ranks and prepare them for test rugby. If you replace Gatland nothing will change, it may actually get worse. They need to rebuild, like Australia. NZ is building nicely. Ireland started putting structures in place around 2016 and are only now reaping the rewards. It took 8 years! Rassie started in 2018, took 6 years. The Boks are just in a great position at the moment blooding new players in an exprienced team. Wales need to accept it will take a couple of years and target 2032 to being back in the top 5.

Playing for the jersey, putting a shift in, giving our all …. It’s Hackneyed cliches. The captain and leaders need to be far more expansive in the modern game just making these bland hard working honest player type talents leaves me very cold

Wales are the perfect example of a team and union that failed to future-proof, they played their established players without building depth and experience for when those players retired.

I dont know how Wales hasnt packed his bag. Paid his flight to anywhere. Do you think Africa would let a coach stay

In the PRO ERA just shouldn't get to 12 consecutive losses, should be gone , just not good enough.

It’s a shame where Welsh rugby is at moment and it’s not going to get any better for 6 nations France away first game 😢I think it’s the wooden spoon for us 😢

I though most of the Welsh guys really left it out there but a few players looked like they were going through the motions and just not on the same emotional level - Tchinza just didn’t seem to have any dog in him

    The WRU are a disaster.
Where was the transition planning? The previous Welsh side was a force in world rugby, always punching well above their weight - given the demographic. To lose such talent in what seems like a season - well, you reap what you sow. They will be lucky to hold on to Gatland, not the other way about.

The problem is most Welsh supporters think they are a force in world rugby, the fact that they are not . They're not even in the second tier, maybe third at best . Gatland has an impossible job, but he's well paid , so don't feel sorry for him . If they sack him , who are they going to get to replace him ?

I kept on thinking in 3 years time these Welsh guys are going to be aged in their mid twenties and our Springboks are going to be mid thirties or more . There is absolute hope for Wales . However I don’t think Gatland is the best coach to take them forward . He missed a chance with the Lions tour by playing Bok rugby and not utilising the talents in that Lions team . Get a modern forward thinking coach and build for RWC27 .

The welsh body language and above all of Mr Gatland from the outset was negative and defeatest!
    What a shame!
Get off their back, turn their attitude around and the result will be astounding!
