Looking forward to this. I stayed for a month in the home of the man who saved Israel in 73, Ariel Sharon. A flawed and very great man and my boyhood hero. They will talk about his actions in the Yom Kippur War two thousand years from now as they talk of Ceasar, Scipio, Nelson, Wellington etc.

What did the Egyptian army do? it lost everything, and IDF got almost to Cairo until stopped by US and Russia together. Only after Sadat signed a peace treaty with Israel he could get the land back. 1973 was the biggest loss in the history of Arab wars. Sinai, Gaza, Golan, Judea, Samaria, Ismailia, tuez, ... the Arab armies lost all their battles shamefully although having a 10:1 ratio and USSR with them.
Their Acadamy Awards acceptance speech has already been written! 🎉 Mirren and Schreiber are two of my very short list of favorite actors -- brilliant! ❤❤

Wow a very great movie to celebrate coming 6 of october our victory day🎉, i was very very happy and proud with our brave egyptian soldiers who destroyed bar lev line in just 6 hours while they were fasting in Ramadan ! And the sadaat omg what a genius mentality, he did give the signal to begin the war but in Nubian language (part of egyptian culture) which can't be written or understood except by a very few people , and it was very weird when Golda appeared on tv right after the war started to tell the people that egyptians has been laying about taking them by surprise and that they did know that they are about to attack !!! Well so you DID know and still get defeated...woman that's much worse 😂

At the most precarious time for Israel during the Yom Kippur War, Israel "unwrapped" its tactical arsenal. Of course, the US became aware of this. Thus, the Airlift began and Israel was able to turn the tide.

When I was young, our teacher told us to shade middle eastern countries and name them. I shaded israel with the sinai because it was a natural shape. My teacher put an X mark on it saying sinai belonged to egypt. I was perplexed as an 8 year old because the israel the teacher said was correct was microscopic without the sinai. You could barely see it anymore. That was in 1998 of course.
