i dont like how some of the chat didnt get the right interpretation of johnny johnny johnny when the lyrics arent subtle about it at ALL 😭 but idk maybe they focused on the production more
People have to learn to ignore twitch chatters because they are known for being stupid as hell. No reason for him to put it on screen aswell but here we are...
I think people misunderstand that Johnny Johnny Johnny isn’t a positive song. The reason it sounds so catchy and happy is that you really do become that blind and infatuated when you’re being manipulated. This song is coming from a victim who understands she’s been fooled by groomers in the past and she’s playing up that childlike ignorance for a vent song. It’s putting you in the shoes of a young person who falls into this trap and making you feel the sickening confusion. People who think this is glorifying statutory rape have no song writing literacy honestly.
True! There's a really cringe SoundCloud comment on it that's like "disgusting you'd make this song so upbeat with this subject matter" but like... That's the point
I choose to think it's so upbeat and intoxicatingly catchy because it is meant to stick in your head the same way the trauma of being groomed stays with someone for a very long time.
for any of the *new* underscores fans, anthony has made it known that he is a longtime fan of six impala, so it’s about time he’s reviewing underscores

@@user-jz8dd3zj8e the song is about a character being manipulated and groomed into sex by a much older man, the person in chat refers to the person as a hole which is commonly used to demean women as only being useful for sex.
