- We have driven the Trollstigen in Norway, a very very beautiful and exciting road. Enjoy the whole drive!
Wikipedia Info:
Trollstigen (English: Trolls' Ladder) is a serpentine mountain road in Rauma, Norway, part of Norwegian National Road 63 connecting Åndalsnes in Rauma and Valldal in Norddal. It is a popular tourist attraction due to its steep incline of 9% and eleven hairpin bends up a steep mountain side. Trollstigen was opened on July 31, 1936, by King Haakon VII after 8 years of construction. During the top tourist season about 2,500 vehicles pass daily.[1][2]
The road is narrow with many sharp bends, and although several bends have been widened during the years 2005 to 2012,[3] vehicles over 12.4 metres long are prohibited from driving the road. During the 2011 and 2012 seasons buses up to 13.1 metres were temporarily allowed as a trial.[4][5] At the 700 metres plateau there is a car park and several viewing balconies overlooking the bends and the Stigfossen waterfall. Stigfossen falls 320 metres down the mountain side. The pass has an elevation of approximately 850 metres.
A major tourist facility including a museum was completed in 2012. Several viewing platforms have been constructed and older constructions improved upon. Trollstigen (along with road 63) was officially opened as a national tourist route by the Minister of Transport and Communications on June 16, 2012.[6] Trollstigen itself (and the alpine summits to the west) lies within the Trollstigen landscape protection area,[7] while the alpine area east of Trollstigen (notably Trolltindene range) is part of Reinheimen National Park.[8]
Trollstigen is closed during autumn and winter. A normal opening season stretches from mid-May to October, but may sometimes be shorter or longer due to changes in the weather conditions.
In the summer of 2005 the road was repaired and about 16 million NOK was spent on protection against rockfall, making the road safer to drive on.

Hello! Beautiful! Nice share!lk
This looks like a dream
Wonderful landscape.

I have been there many times and you have shown it in the best way, but what you see in reality, is much more beautiful than you see in a video. No cameras can show the actual beauty of the scenery.
Breathtaking in more ways than 1. Thank you for sharing.
Glad to get a preview of what I'll be experiencing in May; going the other way (down). I am relieved to know that someone else is driving; bus driver! Hope it isn't raining that day.
one of the most exciting driving experiences in the world. Breath-taking views, hairpin turns and fear of meeting a large truck. Thomas, thanks for this reminder of what excitement is all about. And you can make the ride without a Starbuck's within fifty miles.
Очень люблю Норвегию! Природа необыкновенная - горы, фьорды, водопады супер!
Great Video
Very spectacular and beautiful mountain road, the cloud is almost as close as can touch.

Trollstigen. I love that road.
"WOW" So beautiful & Scary. Love these video's of places I have never been to. Thank you.
Looks scary, but actually no serious accidents since the road opened in 1936. Reckless tourists with camera more dangerous than driving!
That was amazing! A million thanks for sharing.
Very Beautifulllllll views
I toured this part of Norway in 1956 and I think this was the original road that was called "the steepest main road in Europe". It was a wonderful challenge - one way-at that time with special times to go up and come down!!!
I think he road you are referring to is not this one. The Drection/time restricted road you mean is in Årdal. Going from "Øvre Årdal" to "Tyin" That road is no longer in public use.
Been there, done that. Excellent coverage...just like it was!!!!!!!!
thx!

win 10 wallpapers bring me here, thangs for amazing video
No it was no problem because the road was lately properly built. It was dangerous in past days, nowadays its really OK.
On top of the mountain, there is a visitor center with panoramic view platforms and a restaurant as well as some kind of exhibition. Search for "ReiseWorld trollstigen" to find more vids on our moderated travel channel
Beautiful place. Might consider Norway.
Romania and Norway are great.
Feel energy of an unknown
Nice place. I was in 2010
We were there
Nature's nature Norway
Ja, das war echt der Hammer :-)
行ってみたい。
Dream...
Will take my big bike to ride here...
I remembered once when I traveled through Norway and had to cross one nasty road north of Mo I Rana. It was very thin, with a cliff on one side and a drop at the other. And just to make matters worse, it snaked a bit. No 180 degree turns, but still enough to make one uncomfortable. And just to make matters worse, we had to get past an oncomming truck and we where on the side closest to the drop. Fortunatly it wasn't very long. Sadly I have no idea what the road was called.
Trollstigen is Worse in the middle of summer. There are too many busses and Caravans so it is a slow ride. I am nor so nervous when i drive there but that is because i am from norway and my whole family comes from a little 10 minute drive from Trollstigen so yeah.
