Learned a couple things listening to this. One question I have for you Beau is what boots do you run throughout the season? I need a new pair and every pair I get I end up destroying.
I used the Lathrop & Sons Encompass quite a bit last year. Those are by far the most comfortable boots I’ve ever worn. You can call and talk with Stephen or James (the owners) and they help you out with what you need. Those were good early to mid season. If you throw some Arctic shields or some other boot blanket over top you can probably get most of the season. I also have a pair of schnees beartooth 200g I wore when it was colder. The schnees are really nice but not as comfortable as the Lathrop and sons.
Great podcast once again Beau. Thanks for the little info. On the Lathrop and son's boots also. It's tough to hunt the rolling hills. Alot of them big ones are deep. So you have a hike before you even get the where you want to set up. I love the end. (It's a game worth playing)

I haven’t wore the L&S long enough to know how well they wear over time but two guys I really respect swear by them and used them for years
