Music is not all about the lyrics but about the tone and setting. Like classical music or soundtracks. Hell even rap its hard to understand the lyrics but it sounds good. After watching the anime about *a year and a half ago*, I also wanted a 2nd season. But my question would be what would be in the 2nd season? If there were a second season, then the characters might possibly be completely different from those like kouchi sakagibara and Mei Misaki. Who knows?
By the time episode 8/9 rolled around, I was absolutely terrified that one of the brOT4 (Kouichi, Mei, Teshigawara, and Mochizuki) was going to bite the dust, and I spent every episode from that point forward on the edge of my seat, praying for all four of them. When the anime ended and they were all alive and well, I actually cried. What really got me was Chibiki's final line: [to Kouichi and Mei] "Be careful going home. ...Oh, wait a minute. Never mind. It's over now, isn't it?" hOLy FuCK mY HeARt
Yeah, that line from the old guy scared me. I was like; "Hey, hey don't say that! What if the curse heard you and decided to start killing again!?" Lmao
This was my first anime and I think it'll always be if not my favorite, one of my favorites. It has such an interesting story line that makes you wanna follow along. I do have to say, it was a very gory anime so if you aren't into that then you probably won't like this, however it was very well developed characters and it was tragically terrific. Would've loved to see a season 2 of this.
+Nicholas Randall I kinda feel like they did the writers were just not overly explicit about it in the show because it would have detracted from the fact that this was a horror/mystery anime and no a romance. Mind you I have no source for this but in the anime it seemed clear they cared more for each other than any one else, especially with Misaki as she only really properly opens up to Sakibara and her sister.

Back in my school days, I used to have a crush on Akazawa Izumi. Poor girl didn't survive in the LN, got fatally hit by glass shards in the anime, and got beheaded by a boat's rope in the live-action movie. At least she survived in the manga though. The manga did her justice.
I'm late to the masterpiece that is Another... Man, the reveal at the last episode gave me chills... But the emotional stakes weren't that high when they had to kill "Another". I guess they had to show it in such a way in the anime to make the reveal that more surprising, but I can't help to wonder how the emotional stakes was like in the novel...
I want to leave this here as a memory of me. This masterpiece of a show made me feel such strong emotions. At a time where I feel closer to ending my life than ever, I want to remember how much I i was impacted by this. I hope others like me find it as impactful as I did.
Anotherは面白かったな。度々グロアニメ扱いされるけど、内容は凄く好みだった。今からしたらちょっと古い作画も、ミステリーサスペンスというジャンルも、曲もキャラクターもいつまでも良さがあると思う。最終回は、これで終わりかと思うほど悲しく寂しくなれた。とても好きなアニメです。

+Nicholas Randall I kinda feel like they did the writers were just not overly explicit about it in the show because it would have detracted from the fact that this was a horror/mystery anime and no a romance. Mind you I have no source for this but in the anime it seemed clear they cared more for each other than any one else, especially with Misaki as she only really properly opens up to Sakibara and her sister.

+Nicholas Randall I agree with you guys, I've just finished the anime, and now I'm just thinking in them as a lovers. BUT i'm pretty glad because, as +BurningLove said, they didn't show romance to not to change the anime plot or something.
+Nicholas Randall In the original novel they had somewhat of a romance and it wasn't obvious but it was highly implied they had feelings for each other

Poor girl didn't survive in the LN, got fatally hit by glass shards in the anime, and got beheaded by a boat's rope in the live-action movie.
At least she survived in the manga though. The manga did her justice.

I'm late to the masterpiece that is Another... Man, the reveal at the last episode gave me chills...
But the emotional stakes weren't that high when they had to kill "Another". I guess they had to show it in such a way in the anime to make the reveal that more surprising, but I can't help to wonder how the emotional stakes was like in the novel...
