I don't play bass, but I tried playing an upright bass one time and man, those strings are tough. If I had never had that experience - and saw this video- I'd be under the impression that an upright bass was easy to play. That's how good NHOP is.
@doublealufwaffe Man i think you're reading into things a little bit too much. If there is some needling, it seems pretty good-natured. They're both smiling at each other at the end, going like "man, that was fun." cause its sure fun to listen to
Words not available to adequately describe this genious
Listen to this Great Artist is for me a gift from God….and gives my musical life more power…
Its amazing how Niels can play so fast and musically with such great tone and articulation
are you still alive bro
Nils was just THE BEST! No question.... he was on another level . He took Scott Lafaro 's legacy and supercharged the bass

How can he play the bass with such intonative perfection?? And at that speed and fluidity??!!
Super low action, a hell of a lot of practise, and because he's the one and only NHØP
I posted that before the bass solo...WOW!!! That is the coolest, most challenging-sounding solo I've heard on upright!!! :) NHOP, you rule.
The bassist is Niels-henning Ørsted pedersen
Straordinari tutti e due! Emozione.

Chris Pratt could play NHOP if the need ever arises.
he needs to start learning bass though
Haha!
NHOP was a beast. It would take a normal human being five lifetimes to be as good as NHOP.
nielzz
I wish Joe Pass just never played with a pick!
I respect Joe Pass as a musician but i never liked his sound. I can't be the only one, it just doesnt sound good to me.
Tastes differ.
