Holy heckkkkk, that thing must be sick to ride! Pucker factor over 9000, surely hahahah I'm no mechanic, but I'm thinking about a few things: Isn't the swingarm getting all eaten up having no protection from the chain slap? If you put some stickier/bigger tires and better front brake, would the stock forks hold up to the torque? Other than that, the bike looks god damn solid! Congratulations on achieveing such a ridiculous build! Now go rip the streets and have some laughs with the reactions
Hope you get some coverage on this BSH or similar magazines. I AM REALLY IMPRESSED that it isn't just a hack job. Those small wheels will be the limiting factor i suspect. Colours Old school Honda GOLD and Black would look KILLER.
A rubber on that chain clearance would be great so that swing arm won't be grinded with the chain. And a chain roller since the chain travel is longer. Just a suggestion...
I’ve watched this video a few times over the years. I desperately wish I had the funds to do the things I want with my grom. I’m a huge fan of overpowered and sketchy. I primarily ride my grom off-road and have been wanting to do a fork swap and longer traveling rear shock and hopefully one day I’ll be able to put a fuel injected 450 in the bike. I could easily get an old carbureted engine but I refuse to until I can afford a new one.
Yeah since it looks like the adjustment is all the way back, could probably bring the adjustment forward and throw a shorter chain on it. That chain especially during the highway pull scares the hell out of me.
I know it's a Grom, but I'd put a slightly larger and higher rated speed tire on the rear, really amazing work guys - better than anything I could do, now I just wish I could buy one, lol
Incredible job guys what a beast. I enjoyed watching the build progress and very cool to see it finally on the road and congratulations on the fastest grom. eat that GF (Kenny F). LOL
50cc engine on a bicycle is nothing, there are larger engines for bicycles. This is like putting a 700cc engine on a bicycle..... that you built yourself without a masters in engineering
I have Grom 250CBR engine swapped bored out to 305cc's. I want to slap on a CBR600RR engine on mine now. I had a GSXR750, but nothing beats the feeling of a grom on steroids.
I agree! But on a Grom it’s a must. They look way too short without one. I got a stretch kit for mine but only put it out 3 in instead of the 6 inch max which most people do
The grom was made for this it's like a Honda Civic very customizable good job on that build now I want to get one I love how little small and comfortable they are I just don't like the performance out the door now that I know this can be done LOL I need a Grom what is the difference between this and the Kawasaki versionthat I see they make something of this size and CC why is everybody going with Grom and not the Kawasaki just curious I'm in the market and I happen to see the Kawasaki the other day
Ninja Budd ok. Here. A cbr600rr weighs about 420 while a grom weighs a meer 200ish more or less pounds. The power of a 600 can cause it to wheelie easy. Imagine that with a bike that weighs half as much.... it’s like putting an 1000cc engine in a dirtbike and expecting it to not be easy af to loop
@@daltonshepler thats wild actually I read it from an English translated article of the original creator, the bike got a fuel leak completely burned down but they purchased another Panigale 1198 not even just the engine and did it again
something i never see anyone do is with a 600cc grom includes actual motorcycle wheels if its possible?? im really looking towards doing something like that, for more a lightweight but fast bike for drag racing.
weak frame? fuel range? not to mention the non existant buyer demographic. Don't get me wrong it's really cool but for the manufacturer it's not a question if they can, it's a question if they should. It would be immensly costly to engineer and produce and not enough people would buy them.
I think something Grom/Monkey sized with a 500 motor, say out of the CB500, would probably sell well…. As to the person who argued against it because of the “frame too weak,” that’s a silly argument as if Honda were to make one they wouldn’t just plug the bigger motor into the Grom frame and go, they would make a frame suitable to the engine. Thicker piping and more cross bracing if necessary.
@@Rick_Sanchez_C137_ yes you're right, but still, it would be very expensive to develop and manufacture. It would be at least cb500 money, if not more, for a objectively worse grom
Man, I would ride that thing all day…. That’s my only complaint with my gram is how slow it is… if that little bike would do 100 make a world of difference
I think you might be a little bored with grom group rides lol nice build boys.
Grr
Or fewer people are watching those videos and they needed to do something stupid to bring back viewers…..
@@Rick_Sanchez_C137_ this was 2 years ago
nah cause 2 years before this some guy claimed to have the fastest grom and its a 2 stroke... n i wanna see a race...
Now when are you going to put the grom engine into the FZ-07 to make the world's slowest FZ-07?
Whats in my mind,,,,u just told....lol
Forks are pretty compressed with the extra weight maybe a spring change could help

That chain is SUPER shady.. Maybe get a small wheel for the chain on the rear swing arm? I love this build!
Gonna lose that chain... Did you see it flop on downshift ..? Lol Install a tensioner..!
Thought it was just me.
Hope you get some coverage on this BSH or similar magazines. I AM REALLY IMPRESSED that it isn't just a hack job. Those small wheels will be the limiting factor i suspect. Colours Old school Honda GOLD and Black would look KILLER.
That thing looks fun as hell the only scary part is that fucking chain slapping around I think
A grom with an fz07 motor.... a mini version of my own baby dear lord
Probably the best power to weight ratio motorcycle ever
You Killed it with this Grom, great idea to put an MT7 engine in it.
Looks bad ass rolling. The rear seat brings it together
yeah the Ohlins fork kit has stiffer springs so that should help support the extra engine weight & get you some ground clearance!
Still has it's original vee rubbers. Very ballsy
Men it's been a long time finally grom is done hope see more vidoe of it. Can't wait to see top speed (is like you have death wish if you do)
A rubber on that chain clearance would be great so that swing arm won't be grinded with the chain. And a chain roller since the chain travel is longer.
Just a suggestion...
Yeah.
Put nylon where that chain ride otherwise it will go thrue it. And chaintensioner is almost must for that...
Lol right metal riding on metal
Spot on. If he doesn't take your advice he's going to cut through the left side of that swingarm..

and possibly take a leg off
Put a bigger sprocket on the back lol

Been waiting so long, glad to see another ep from you guys. Looks mint.
Cool build !
I would be a bit worried about the tires at high speed though.
This is sick 👍🏼

Time for a turbo 😏
I’ve been waiting for this since the post on insta
Just wait until GromieBear finds out about this, he'd probably buy it
It's his 2 bikes combined 😂
Gromie bear was just in our town this weekend and blew us off when we asked to meet up 😂

Please take it to a grom meet up
Thats the plan!
Check out the fully adjustable fork for Grom on Aliexpress your going to want them.

Id be terrified to ride this lol
The extended swing arm ruins the wheelie fun and potentional a bit. It's funnier if it's original compact
it would just be unridable
now get the extreme creations turbo kit for it. have one on my fz07 and its amazing.
Great work man. U should put a buffer on the swing arm for the chain. Jake the garden snakes setup is pretty good

How much does this thing weigh?
I just hate those long swing arms...i understand their purpose but i just hate how they fucking ruin the look of any bike.
While I agree, on groms I really like the extended swingarm. This build in particular it seems to really suit it
without it the bike would just wheelie over constantly

The Nardo gray would look great with some Nebula red accents.
I also think that would look sick with a bigger 16" rear wheel.
I present to you, the BFZ-07G, (Baby FZ-07/Grom)
Had to watch again..groms are awsome but alteast need a 250 309 revel motor or somthing

Is it just me or does it look like a pair of ass cheeks shitting out a number plate?
Good job man!

Fork stanchions will get peppered and the swing arm chewed away on bumps

Better put a buffer on the swingarm for the chain
😎 nice.... you should build this one to perfection. And the sell the 700cc grom mount kit.👍👍👍
Shit I'd buy 3
Man, that thing looks like it hooks pretty hard, how long til we see some races between an fz-07?
It won't be as fast I suspect the wheels will limit traction and launch. Though weight will help in parts I guess.
CAN IT WHEELIE THOUGH
it has a swing arm stretch. not even a hayabusa can pop it up with a stretch.....you will need a 12oclock bar if you wanna wheelie that death trap 😉
Congratulations 🎊🎉🎉 sound beautiful 😄😄
What are the speed ratings on those tires?🤣🤣🤣
93mph max
Well the Doppler effect was audible, other than that
Damm i need me one of these.
Beautiful work, guys!
I can't find the FB page, I only came across a hair salon.
I want to see top speed.
123+ mph
Looking at the front tire. You guys installed it with the wrong rotational direction. If it rains, it might be dangerous. Just saying tho.
@Matthew Cherrington why is the back one different then?
Do you guys sell these after you are done or just to play with lol bc I'd definitely buy one like this lol
Remapping for the exhaust.
It got a custom tune from 2wheel dyno works with custom mapping for the custom intake with shorter runners and the custom exhaust length :)
@@BuiltByBailey so how much is it making now? Did it make more power than a mt 07 or less
