To help with low RPM torque maintaining air flow velocity through the carb and pipe is a huge advantage. The muffler has been moved back behind the shock like modern trials bikes, because of this we went the long way around the engine as longer pipes add to touque.
We needed to add length for torque, so we went the long way around. With the chain and sprockets on the left there is no room. Additional if we want to quieten it down we can build another muffler in the area above the swing arm pivot.
