In the Philippines, "Comedians" are the most versatile among Filipino entertainers. Most of them got famous from their gigs as a stand up comedians. Stand up comedy in the Philippines are more into Toilet humor, insulting everyone in the room, etc. so most of these comedians unconsciously master diff set of skills including singing as part of their reprertoire.
The first comedian is Tart Carlos, the second is Kitkat. And actually, comedians here in our country, majority of them sings and have powerful voices. Before they became popular, they sing in comedy bars and some small venues and also do comedic acts. You should checkout the part 2 of this performance and also the other comedians, especially the gay singer-comedians like Anton Diva (the most popular impersonator of Regine Velasquez and also a friend) and Vice Ganda who's a very big personality in Philippine Showbiz, who also started as an impersonator of Regine Velasquez and is now a famous actor, singer and comedian. He's also a friend of Regine Velasquez, they even had a concert. Here's the link in,I think the 3rd Night of their concert entitled The Songbird and The Songhorse. The 3 of them performed Shine, which is a special song also for Anton because it's her signature Regine Velasquez song which she perform first or most of the time for numbers: ua-cam.com/video/RlicGvaYPTM/v-deo.html this video has the best quality, though they're talking for a bit long in the first part; about their journey as impersonators of Regine to being her friends and many others. Thanks!
FUN FACT : Pilita helped in discovering the now popular, KZ Tandingan as one of the OG Judges of the Philippine franchise of the 1st x factor, together with fellow judges--Martin, Gary and Charice. 😊✌️
Lol at Efra when he touched his chest saying "i thought they're gonna go up, thank God!" 😄 he can't take it anymore 🤣 Wale is an angel who can't seem to believe how good the comedians are as well in singing 😍. More power to u two 😘😘😘
2:40"my god these women are ridiculously talented" -Waleska 🥰 *ohhh yeah!!! 💯💚 Comedians actually have powerful voices but they we're doin' dramatically or funny on purpose for comedy 😍😇 .
Most comedians in the Philippines who start their careers in stand-up comedy bars are also good singers (if/when they choose to take the song seriously) because they usually incorporate song numbers in their comedy acts during live bar shows. That is the common set-up in the Philippines, very much different from western stand-up comedy acts where they just stand on stage and delivery jokes and punchlines in 2-3 minute skits.
Those comedian are usually comedians in comedy bars. . . There they do stand-up comedy and sings requested songs from the audience that's why they are also called karaoke/ sing along masters because they don't know what songs the audience will request but they sing it anyways. . .
NG is pronounced as “nang” just like how we pronounce the word “hang”, just replace the “h” with “n”... it’s “ng”. 😊 And when you see the word “Mga”, it’s pronounced as “Ma-nga”, not like the Japanese Comics. It’s “Ma...” then the “nga” is like when you say the “nger” in the word “singer”... just change the “er” with “a” for “nga”... so it’s “Ma-nga”. It pluralizes count nouns. Example, “Of teachers” = “Ng mga guro” I hope this would help you... somehow. 😊

Dearest Efra & Waleshka, i really enjoy watching you both react. Sooo beautiful seing your reactions. I hope you can be able to see and react to famous filipino singers join in a contest in a noontime show here "Eat Bulaga". The contest was titled "Aegis pa more". Divas and comedians were the contestants. I hope you can watch and react to that. Sending my love to you both from here.❤❤❤
Kitkat and Jona they sang the hall of Famer Song Which is MAGHIHINTAY AKO of Himig Handog ❤️😍 and JONA Viray ASIA'S CANARY is the Original Singer of that song they Sang😘
The ASAP Divas are usually champions from different singing competitions, so those in the same batch are from same era of singing competitions. The OG ASAP Divas for me are Sarah G, Rachelle Ann Go, and Sheryn Regis, then they were followed by Yeng Constantino, Angeline Quinto, and KZ Tandingan, although Yeng also sings with Sarah and Rachelle (they have a group called YRS), she's like generation 1.5, KZ would also sing with Sarah and Yeng, and their group is called SKY. The 3rd gen would be Klarisse and Morisette, and then the new gen ASAP Divas: Zephanie, Elha, and Janine. There are more divas that were included in each line up, or had their own group of divas (more like freelance divas or are more known as divas and not as singing champions), but these names are the regulars, for sure there is a generation before the group of Sarah G too. Regarding Jona, she is in the same batch as Sarah G from what I can remember, but she was from the rival network, so when she transferred to ABS-CBN, she was added in the line up of 2nd-3rd gen divas instead as the first gen is no longer active, except for Sarah, but first gen are already like legends, they are untouchable.
@@juaninatrese6462 Frenchie Dy is in the same batch of Sarah G. Frenchie is the second winner of star in a million after Erik Santos. Anna, Vina, and Bituin are like the real divas, but Anna and Bituin weren’t really part of ASAP, right?
@@bywydpia aah yes I remember Frenchie winning. If I remember correctly Anna and Bituin used to have their own ASAP segment called Versus. Vina also used to have her own segment where she sang and danced, people compared her to JLo back then cause she was hella ripped and goes extra hard on her prod numbers

Which is something I hate. It stops our artists from pursuing excellence in a single field.
