Many things in this video i did not know about and was not told by many people that i asked. This looks absolutely wonderful Reshmi! I wonder if I could get away with making this with whelks. I still drool at the memory of those amazing conch pies we had at King's Wharf Fish Market. 👍😋
Curry conch with hot sada roti....or rice an dhal love it must be spicy...😋😋
OMG!!!!! LOVE conch You must be a mind reader. You got a lot for that price. It’s about $15 a pound here NY
It was about $13/14/lb when I lived there. Conch is a bit pricey but I love it!
wow look good unfortunately we do not get conch in our island not even at the supermarket any way great video thanks again
hi reshmi how are you this curry looks soooo good I really enjoy this video may god bless you stay safe 👍👍👍👍💙💜💚
What can be substituted for the beers and black a char masala I live in Nj there’s no Trinidad grocery store near me
Looks absolutely delicious👏👏 that quatity of lambie would be at least $250 home here😨..I have seen only the small sea conch and for some reason now I cant get it to be soft..it was never like that before though. 😁..great job as always
Thanks aunty! Wow, I usually get the smaller sea conchs/scungilli when I'm back home. I love those too. Make sure you only wash with flour. Acid gets it really stiff. This was so soft and nice. Pressure cook for 30 minutes and you're good to go 👍🏼
Yummy 😋
I dont like conchs but... just but... im willing to revisit just to try this recipe🔥
Really? Try washing with flour alone, and pressure cook for it to be really soft and nice.
Oh wee, it's looks so good! Love this recipe miss and I would love to try it for sure!
Your husband does really eat good boy
How long does it take to cook
I heard they have Conch in TNT but Never had it, never even seen it in Trinidad Supermarket we do have it here in LA ship from mexico and other Latin countries, but I really want to try it fresh caught in Trinidad.
What's in the Caribbean seasoning please
Bomb!
Am not sure but is tht considered a snail !?
Yes
Grew up in usa and never had conchs what else can I curry and add dumplings in together
Curry chicken, curry duck, curry beef, curry shrimp, curry crab, curry fish...i think my mind went blank now 😂
@@templarscreed1091 Thanks a lot ,the curried conchs looks really good though, I'm going to try and see if I like it.
Can you boil the dumplings with the conch while it cooks like towards the end
Yes, great question! You can boil the dumplings in the same pot, but make there's enough liquid or it will stick to the bottom.
🤤🤤🤤
I have never seen people wash with flour water. What’s the logic behind of this? I’ve seen lime vinegar and salt.
You have me dribbling girl. I haven't had conch with dumplings for so long. Thanks for sharing. Ill have to find conch. Where did you find it?. I'll have to make a trip to Houston soon!!
🤤
What's conch
Prefer a spoon to mix thou
Srry I'm allergic to shellfish. But I'm guessing it's good. I've never had lobster ever in my life.
Great video love it!aforien me
im from trinidad dat is not original is dat the us version
Ok. you dress the dumpling like you dress pasta. I usually have the dumpling on the side
It's all about personal preference. If you like it on the side then you can definitely serve it like that 🙂
HI where have you been I miss you and your cooking please text me if you can stay safe
I was enjoying the pot until you add that tin of milk to such beautiful pot of curry conchs you lose me. Do it over and used a coconut and you will get a 10
My baby boy was chatting his mouth watching video lol my baby boy is a curry mouth anything curry he eat he don't eat anything stew .
Dosti roti to
Yes! Sooo good. I like it more chatak (without the coconut milk) when I eat it with roti 😉
I thought there’s a way that you have to pound it with a hammer or something to get it to cook faster and soft..,
don't share out mine. just pass me the pot. 👆 👆 👆 👆.
Never had conch, tis recipe looks soooo good 😋
Oh my goodness I haven't had conchs for a long time. When I was little my mousa used to go to the sea and pick up sea conchs and he would give my grandmother, she used to boil it in a big iron pot on the fireside and then we would sit down with big safety pins, those huge ones that they used to pin baby diapers, and we would pull the conchs meat out of the shell and she would clean it and cook it with sada roti. That was the best.
