Hey Roman, regarding electricity generation/solar/nuclear/etc, please interview/cover a specialist like Desmund Bernado. He has interesting views on this direction the Mayor/CoCT is taking.
Great channel, great episode.
It is good that this was made in a way that you do not take it too seriously.
I'm from Cape Town and I really enjoyed this video. It was nice getting to know our Mayor and seeing where he works from etc. Thanks for making it and going out on the road. Please make more videos like this. Job well done to all concerned.
Roman looks like 007 walking through the airport building 😂
When you without your gun, you've to act the part. Can't look shaken and stirred so close to the Cape Flats. Daai spanne sit met verkykers en soek die toeriste wat pap lyk.
Wow brilliant DA. 👏
Great work. Thank you sir.
What an epic video this is Roman! Enjoyed watching you take over my old stomping ground too :D
Wow, you have opened a door to our country most people, me included never thought of or knew existed. Great show.
Captions are the best....
"We have a little garden outside, where we can have a bribe"
I almost got locked up for smoking a siggie, on Mayor's clearance nogal, in them little garden. Fokkol geld daar, it's very lonely. But the mayor's police protection at reception said the mayor can't bend the rules above her head. If it was not for my charm, Robben Island would've been my home now.
Very good interview....really interesting!!
First time i see the Mayor. Thank you both for the insight in a day of our Mayor's life. Hope you enjoyed it Roman.
Wow this was awesome to see. I don't know why but I expected his office to look much more grande 😄 At least Jordon Hill Lewis knows his priorities. I think we're in good hands🙏
Great stuff Ramon!!! At last a mayor for the people 👏👏
This was very entertaining and somewhat enlightening, thanks Ramon - I'm looking forward to part 2 :)
Great job!
Get him to tell everyone what this power is going to cost we the people!!!!!!
Ask the mayor to make awarding of tenders publicly available on a website for scrutiny. This will force others to follow suit.
The dramatic music at the staircase though😁
Ask him about the desalination plant and what he thinks about mandate policys.real stuff.really not bullshit.
Kudos to the editing & production team, next level AV quality :}
This was brilliant ! Nice too see
Nice 👍🏻 Thank you for for the show 👏🏻
Awesome show Roman.
Ah Roman, your best ever! Now you are officially a legend. SA's own Jesse Waters. You keep on going, the RSA needs you! As a politics-obsessive, I am looking forward to more informative, honest news. You brought life back to SA news. 😂
the editing is superb
@@WorldViewMediaProductions where is part two? the part where you ask him about cape independence?????
Great vlog. Enjoyed it. Keep up the good work
THAT!!! Was awesome 👏
Great show Roman, to get a behind-the-scenes view. Keep it up!
Yip. DA is just the right toll to implement the cape to Cairo takeover. Awesome Roman
I can’t believe these guys? “ Do you still wonder why Cape Town’s rates and taxes are so high” Where has this baby been living?
It all works and is for the main part clean. Try Kwa Zulu Natal. You’ll be happy there.
this is awesome.
He is not morning shot anymore he is Major Morning Shot
This was SO cool, please make more videos like this ! ROMAN ! YOU CAN DO THIS !!
He knows as much about electricity as he does about the layout of his own building
Well done Roman!
Well done Roman. Wish you could do it with every municipality in SA. But i think you wont get any interv with any ANC majors
Awesome Roman.
Now spend a day with an ANC mayor. Um think a few ANC mayors.
we wish they would take over SA
Intelligent non-compliance by not wearing the mask, as much as possible! 🍾🍾🙏 I do the same
People still wearing masks have a mental illness. Not sure what to call it, apart from excessive stupidity.
Hi. Waiting for part 3 😁
How do you know there's 3 parts? It's seems there's a leak in my department.
Also ask his stance on Cape independence;-)
Watch out for part 3 of this Vlog series. There's a Cape Independence conspiracy inside the storyline.
GREAT Effort- I could have of sworn I saw Rhodes in Adderley Street or was it Elvis?
I would love to know how you could afford/plan such an awesome fiber network rollout so quickly. It seems that the western cape's infrastructure (and maintenance) is on a completely different level.
I was once in that office when Patricia de Lille was mayor. The view from that office is eye-opening.
very good
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💪
Proud of our Mayor. Keep up the good work.
"Unlock the storage trick"??? Mr. Mayor.. You sound like you know exactly what you are talking about.. if you knew anything about load shedding you would know that it has always existed as nothing can run all day long, everyday of the year, for ever.. heard of maintenance?? So glad you got rid of the purple couches though...
Build a nuke power station on Robben Island.....
I really enjoyed to see the running of the office of this mayor! Beautiful offices and happy to hear that they take all political photos off the walls! He looks like he has his feet soliton the ground, wish him all the best! Roman come do one in Krugersdorp where we have a very energetic and switched on young mayor age 34!!
A great advertisement for Edgemead High School , and rhe honourable and principled alumni they produce.
A true politician! Did you ask him how long we will still be allowed to braai in SA?
Please do not be blinded!
I wonder about the Cecil John Rhodes statue. It symbolizes ......
Hope you enjoyed your day in the independent Western Cape
Watch out for the 3rd video in this Vlog series. A surprise related to Cape Independence is in the storyline.
Geordin Hill-Lewis for PRESIDENT !!!!!
I'm impressed!! Well done Mr Mayor!
impressive, Well done Mr. Mayor! Please let me know if you have work for me!
I never understand about world politics. God know best all.
Great video Roman and Monsieur your dress sense is Impeccable!
Big congrats, also Gordan Lewis looks like a fresh breeze & believe me I have seen a few mayors come & go,some thankfully so.
I absolutely agree with him on the power crisis... but his got brain worms if he thinks green energy will be the way... it is far too costly... better to get the Coal Plants running properly or go nuclear... its not just to have power all the time, it must cheap and affordable if you want to grow businesses
I disagree with the IPP policy. Koeberg should be extended. Green energy is not a green as everyone thinks.
Great video as always...
Finally a Mayor we can get behind and one that works for the city (and not for herself/family)
I'm thinking, nepotism?
Wow! Clearly no understanding of electricity supply! Capetonians brace yourselves for paying this huge bill for alternative energy, coming your way.
Not an industry and job creation friendly dude!
Roman...just admit you had the best time ever..Fuchs the Statue... at least an interview was granted...and I never knew you A Short F...
now try and do the same with some other mayors such as Durban, Bloemfontein, Polokwane, Mbombela, Klerksdorp and see how the door will be slammed in your face 😩 that's why the Western Cape is still the best province to live in, even with the wind 😊
What a privafege to be able to walk the powers of the house of the Western Cape. Please don't be so disparestung and help us. Jealousy is not ..
Yeah please take down that mandela pic on the wall...that just spoils everything, or was that just for show...libs being libs LOLI honestly dont like this Mayor...i get a Macron, Trudeau feeling about him...
9:40 "...Cader deployment is when you employ politicians in the civil service to fullfill the mandate of the governing party instead of employing on merit..."
9:55 "...We have separated the mayor's office / executive from council / govt...we serve the people of the city..."
DA putting ANC to shame😂
Brilliant. Well done. Fun to watch. And good to see a politician who is a real person.
You probably heard this before, get the farmers in the Western Cape to setup communal Electricity Supply for direction into Cape Town and cut Eskom.
Ask the major with load shedding and all, why Cape Town monthly charge residents for putting up solar panels on own cost? It seems awfully logic that the City of Cape Town is relentlessly "taking" without any input.
Because first they charge residents for their own solar panels, then they get kickbacks from the tenders to install solar panels, then they charge consumers more for the energy created by the solar panels to pay off the interest in the loan taken to install them. Wonderful way to fleece everyone while raking in the cash.
@@askingoption4125 Surely the DA mayor will never, ever allow something underhanded like that? It's similar behavior renting from a hostile landlord, with dishonest scales... This young mayor, I hear, is very nice?
@@yaacooh3073 I'm cynical like that. Appearances can be deceiving. Let's talk again when the panels and the electricity costs are both up.
If not for chain look like a priest
Do you still wonder why Cape Town's rates and taxes are so exorbitantly high?
@@deonvanstaden9168 I am staying in Mossel Bay at a fraction of the cost that I am paying for my property in Hour Bay and as far as services are concerned MB has the best in the country imo.
Ironically, they are cheaper than most other cities. www.iol.co.za/thepost/opinion/da-is-taking-steps-on-how-city-spends-your-money-804025a8-3a70-4157-b63f-71c52e61aaf5
@@MorningShot Roman taste the tap water in Hout Bay it tastes like sewage. I hope the Mayor is going to sort this out while I am still alive.
@@comancheflyer4903 You went from criticising the high cost of rates and taxes in the city and when that was dispelled, you resorted to criticising the water quality in Hout Bay. By the looks of it, you have an issue with Cape Town rather than anything of substance.
Special thanks to my team for their invaluable help:
