I actually really enjoyed your Disney video (but I’m also a Disney adult so maybe I’m biased 😂). If you’re still in the Tokyo area, I HIGHLY recommend spending the day at DisneySea (there are two parks here - if you’ve only got one day, do this park). It’s cheaper than the US parks and it’s absolutely beautiful. And the snacks are delicious! Keep up the great work!!
I love your videos and I can honestly say I didn't click on the disney one for a couple weeks just because I don't have any interest in going to disney. I finally broke down and watched it and really enjoyed it and even sent it to my sister who has kids and talks about going to disney all the time. The destination didn't appeal to me but the process of getting there I LOVED and I really enjoyed seeing you enjoy the fruits of your labor. I think you should cycle some videos like this into your regularly scheduled programming, doing "bucket list" things that seem out of reach. I have no experience in the youtube space but I know I'd love more videos like that and we all know we're not as "unique" as we'd like to be so I have to assume others would like it too!ha
I loved that video! Y'all had a blast and it came through. I was one of folks who mentioned the cc sign up fees only for folks that needed to know that there was a start up cost just in case they didn't have it. It was definitely a great return on investment.
I actually really enjoyed the video. I think that more videos that focus on how to use points etc to your advantage to go on a relatively low cost (maybe not free) vacation could resonate with your audience - but to destinations that you would typically go
I enjoyed your Disney for $0 video quite a bit. The idea that it was possible to do seemed unbelievable, but you did it! I thought the content was done in a very entertaining way also. Obviously staged so that didn't distract from the fun. Good that you pointed out how some of those redemptions are ones you would never really do, so if you do a similar one in the future then keep pointing that out. $0 is better click bait than "for under $100" or whatever. It was a nice change of pace and seems like it would have lured in more new members with a title like that. Not sure why it didn't do as well as other video's but it doesn't seem like it would hurt the channel. I like that you keep making fun videos and don't get stale!
I almost didn't watch the disney video because I have no interest in disney (your waiting in line comments confirm that!). But youtube kept putting it in my feed and I really enjoy your videos so I gave it a watch and it was excellent!
I truly enjoyed the Disney video! Even though Disney isn't really my "thing" & not really the kind of trip I want to go on, I still enjoyed watching it! Any time I'm watching one of your videos, my husband (who doesn't watch the travel vlogs) always says things like "Oh, I like those people." and "I think if we were to ever travel like that with anyone, I could travel with those 2." Keep just being you & doing fun things!
Hey guys, love your videos. As a European, your credit card system is so very different. I'm curious as to what you do once you've accumulated and spent all of your points. Do you cancel them? Transfer the balance? Do you have s system for paying without building up interest? I don't understand the exit strategy, or if there is one.
If it's an airline or hotel card, cancel them at the 1 year mark, since the points are stored at the airline/hotel. For bank point cards, transfer the points as you need them, or cancel the annual fee cards, so the no annual fee cards keeps the points. Chase and amex have cards like that. You pay off the cards every month so you don't have any interest charges.
Hey guys. Big fan of you two! We are around your age and you are by far our favorite travel UA-camrs. Really admire your approach and your sense of humor. One (very small) criticism: We notice how often you bring up your ethical motivations: You want to teach people certain things, you want people to see travel is possible, etc. I appreciate your motivation to present a useful and actionable message. At the same time, it's also okay to just do this stuff because you want to. There doesn't always have to be a value add or educational reason for the content you make. And every video doesn't have to have a bigger or deeper meaning. Just make the stuff you want to make because you want to make it. It was cool to hear at the beginning of this podcast how you were just doing the Disney video because you wanted to, but then you also mentioned teaching on credit card churning, etc. At the end of the day, the value of your videos is the entertainment value. It doesn't need to have a higher meaning than that. Being entertaining is a noble pursuit unto itself. We hope as your channel continues to blossom that you remember that you guys are enough without having to find additional reasons for your videos to exist. We are fans of yours because you guys are funny, relatable, and make content that is entertaining and accessible. I don't need to know travel is possible for lower budgets, how credit card churning works, that there is some ethical or spiritual reason to do this or that. That's all baked in. Once a month or so, we look forward to sitting down and laughing along with a couple of people we'll likely never meet who take us out of our daily lives and into a different place for a few hours. You make our day a little more fun and a little more interesting through your work. That's the deeper meaning and value in the Lisa and Josh travel adventures. That's all it needs to be to work. I hope you know that and let it flourish. In either case, keep up the great work!
Hi while i absolutely loved the Disneyland video, i reckon it didnt do well because not everyone (including myself) is smart enough to handle so many credit cards responsibly and is quite afraid of getting into debt trap rather unknowingly. So maybe thats why it didnt resonate with many. Also the miles and points system etc that is intrinsically linked to credit cards is not used that well in many other countries and so we fail to appreciate how this works

The disney video was great! Keep it up. Views will come!
I loved the Disney 'weird' episode! It was so well researched and thought out. Bravo you guys!
Love the insights and glad that you are trying new things to mix it up
I enjoyed watching it, because I could see you enjoying it

I watched your Disney vid at least 5 times. It’s therapeutic.
You two are always so thoughtful in your productions. Thanks!

OG travel Thursday, travel Thursday 🎉🎉🎉🎉
You are turning into true film makers. I recommend you consider submitting some of your videos to film festivals.
How long did your research / purchases for the actual trip take?
you walked the camina a third time? which route this time? :) why not filming it?

how about trying to go to the famous amusement parks all over the world?
