James, Revo Slot has become a very popular class since the Pendle race. So many of us are waiting to see your car improvements. Is Pendle having another REVO GT race soon? Thank You for this video.
Yes. It was a class for only RevoSlot Porsche GT2 cars. I still have a lot of footage to edit and then hopefully I can release more videos about my RevoSlot Porsche.
A brilliant series of videos. Really good close ups. Absolutely facinating watching you blue print the car. The pink really stood out on the Pendle track didn't it.
Hello from England My paternal cousin was 7 years older than me but as a boy he was bough a SCALEXTRIC set for a Christmas present one year - he was born in 1958 and he loved it. I know what you do is on a bigger scale but what a race track you have Back in 1964 when the Beatles were in America their "down time" was spent with the Slot Car racing and the track was quite large. I think ELVIS picked this "hobby up" a few years later when Priscilla bought him the set and it was set in what is now pat of the Trophy Room. He did get bored with it and moved on to something else i suppose
Hi Joanne and thanks for watching and commenting. Slot racing was huge in the late 60s and 70s. The racers of the times were big celebrities and earned a good wage from slot racing. In more modern times, people like Ross Brawn and Gordon Murray developed some of their engineering skills through slot racing. It is a great hobby and sport.
Considering that I do only a tenth of what you did to get the car race ready, I‘m surprised you found even more to do. Looking forward to learning what that will be!
my local track races Revo now and Slot it groupC. I didnt realize you were so close to Liverpool. Im a Beatles nut and was just there a few months ago...anyhoo..My local track has a track they got from a NJ race shop that supposedly the Beatles raced on..Im trying to get proof of such a claim....There is nothing in MalEvans books about slot cars at all..not even the tracks they brought on tour with them.
I am sure the track would be fine with Genesis cars but Pendle need to race what they sell. The car really did move on its own! It might have been an issue with my anti-brake switch but if it was, then I managed to knock it on and off without consciously doing so 🤪
Not too bad first time out. Big fast open track which is what I prefer. Ive found that a good driver can make up a tenth over an average driver. If the good driver have a tenth on you its game over. 0.5s, there is no way you can make up that difference. Looking at the laps Im assuming Nick Hurst didnt have a single off?
Nick Hurst drove excellently. I can’t remember if he an off or not but he drove solidly 👍🏻 He is the man to beat but let me try his car and give it a good look over.
My Friend What are the new adjustments you plan on making to your Revo? Reason I asked is we are in a serious now and I’m getting my butt kicked right now!! We race on plastic tracks so the 14.28 may be to low!! Thanks in advance Natee
How did you finish in the race? I see you are racing on a six lane track with 1/32 cars. I am starting to race 1/24 scale cars on an eight lane approximately 155 foot flat track. I like how you point a racing legend and the racers at our local track are well known in the slot car racing world. I had a good friend, John Cukras, who won many slot cars races and was called John the jet. He was a slot car legend and passed away last year.
Hi John. The final results are in the video. I have heard of John the Jet but never met him. He is certainly regarded as a legend. May he rest in peace.
Looks like good fun. It's a respectable run :) Shame PSR is away away from Milton Keynes where I live. So you went for 'high vis' pink with your GT2 - lol Are they all Revoslots in this category?
I used to live just outside MK. I know the area well. Your closest club is probably the Luton Slot Car Club which is now based in Potton near Sandy in Beds. They race hard body cars on Fridays I think. The pink made it very easy to see and be seen. Yes, they are all RevoSlot Porsche 911 GT2 cars. It is a very even playing field.
you're the kid at the end you're kind of short ha,ha,ha just kidding so when you go to america the current is different I spoke to someone who is a model railroad junkie and he bought an english locomotive and can't use it in america because of the different current and voltage so do you swap out moters?

That's a great looking track! Was it a Revoslot Porsche GT2 class? I hope you show the improvements you implement on your car in a video too.
Yes. It was a class for only RevoSlot Porsche GT2 cars. I still have a lot of footage to edit and then hopefully I can release more videos about my RevoSlot Porsche.
Congratulations on your new track ! One of your recent followers ✌️
Very nice track!!!!!!
Glad to see you on the track

Yes, thank you for watching. There has been a lot happening since that video, I just need to find time to edit it all 😁
Well done!
Great video! I really like your still shots too.
Thanks. I learnt a lot.
I see 2 northern legends the incredible Mark Harrison and the also incredible James Cleave
Thank you from a legend to legend 👍🏻

I used to road race motorcycles. Mid-pack at a new track with a new car is pretty respectable!
Thank you. There is more to come…
@cleavetech very nice vids. Have you done a update vids? I seem not to find them.
Gorgeous track!
Considering that I do only a tenth of what you did to get the car race ready, I‘m surprised you found even more to do. Looking forward to learning what that will be!
I have made some significant improvements to the car. More videos to come soon.

That's a great track, with the right grip a Genesis, would fly round there. My car moved on it's own, slot racing drivers excuse number 472, 🤣

Can’t wait to see your improvements and what you found on the winning car!!
Mods are done and filmed 👍🏻 More videos coming soon 😁
@@CleaveTech Don't forget to pop those vids up please
@@modelracecar , I really want to get the videos fully edited soon so you can see them all 👍🏻
Fully understandable James, your previous ones are excellent.
@@CleaveTech My club races a lot of REVO GT cars. I have seen several videos on fine tuning these cars. Hoping your video will be released soon.

I'm in Nathaniel's corner. Any idea when you will be releasing the improvements you noticed on the winning car?

The legend that is Mark Harrison or did you mean you😀
Glad you spotted him 👍🏻
Did you add any weight to the car?
The rules do not allow weight to be added. It is pushing the rules a bit to balance the wheels 🤪
I see you share the same barber as me !
🤣
Obviously, you need the bigger wing! I'm sure that was the difference. Just kidding, but would like to know what things you learned.
