I think if you have the option of having everything close to you and not needing to drive, that's great. But if it's forced on you to live that way and you no longer have the option to drive to other places, that is tyranny.
It sounds beautiful at first thought until you really understand the prison they want to force the peasants into. Of course the elite's will not put themselves unders these restrictions.
that's not what happening lol, these idiots are lying to you, its just being against the libs for the sake of being against he libs even if it hurts yourself
In the examples of these cities being built in the UK they have razor wire and automatic gate systems around them that block the roadways and sidewalks. They are prisons don't for a second think that they aren't capable of doing this sort of evil
Not 15 minute cities. 15 minute prison zones. A woman in England is facing thousands in fines for visiting her son in the hospital. Outside her prison zone.
@@KingDuumb When I was in London visiting a relative they pointed out the cameras. They were activated during covid and if you left your zone in your car you received a hefty fine. You could walk, or take transit out side of your zone. The cameras are still there.
@@only3975 I know London has one of the most extensive CCT systems in the world and other British cities are not far behind. They were installed long before the mention of 15-minute cities or even Covid but were for crime deterrents and easier criminal capture. There are many real-life crime shows showing the use of these cameras. Were the people arrested during the Covid outbreak fined for leaving their area or for needlessly being out when a quarantine was in effect? I can see if and when a city declares itself a 15-minute city the cameras being used for this purpose. That is why we have to become more vocal and get away from the so-called Woke agenda which has been corrupted from its original goal into a poor me attitude.
Cities are already set up with amenities within fifteen minutes or so. So what's the real reason? To curtail our movement. Along with no cash, digital ID and constant surveillance, I'd say it sounds a lot like prison camp.

I was born and raised in Edmonton and after 30 years working away I was planning to retire there at the end of this year along with my daughter and in--laws. The Edmonton we remembered and wanted to return to was not a "15 minute" city. Our 3 households will be going somewhere else.
I left Edmonton 20yrs ago and also planned to move back to spend my 'twight' years, however, over the past 4yrs I've come to realize I already ready live in a civil, free, fully modern and peaceful society and have no reason to move back to Edmonton. Canada will remain on the list of "nice place to visit"...but.....
I left TO 30 years ago, married an amazing bavarian guy and would never go back, it's going downhill fast. I'm a european now with all it's cultural perks.
Canada is Cuba 2.0 without the sun and sand! Get out while you can! Before they lock the gates on the world's largest Gulag! Canadian government wants to OWN you!
Feudalism will look like a walk in the park, compared to what they can do now, with the tech available and the evil in their hearts. Cops are robotic entities, that serve big daddy government no matter what.
The same people have turned down town Edmonton into a place no one would consider safe and attractive to visit. Normally when people fail they don’t get promoted to bigger projects. Remember folks…..just two weeks to flattens the curve!

We had 15 minute cities not too long ago. Diverse, privately owned small shops and services serving their communities, but then the powers that be gutted our commercial squares by promoting Wlamart and various other big box outlets. Now all that is within 15 minutes of where I live are weed shops, beer n wine stores, thrift and used discount shops, pawn shops and 2 homeless shelters. I have come to the conclusion that if the govt wants me to do something for my own good, the exact opposite is what I should be doing.
But the malls are still within a fifteen minute drive, usually. LOL Seriously, they used to build neighborhoods like that, where everything is within a fifteen minute walk. The concept is old, their new plans for it is what is concerning.
15 minute walk is little over 1.5 km. They can stuff this idea. We had this and then they brought in all these big stores. Costco and Walmart are not going to fold up and disappear for this plan. At least when things were in a mall it was all under one roof. Power Centers are stupid. Every individual store separate and you have to drive to each one. Tried this once in winter with kids and a buggy. Horrible experience. I’d rather go to the mall.
Well as it stands if you want to get around your city, your government has forced you to own a vehicle that costs roughly 10,000$ a year to own and operate. Seems to me like a 15 minute city is an opportunity for you to finally choose how you want to get around and where to spend your own money.
15 minute cities are nothing more than future gulags. I mostly live in my own area of Calgary, BUT there very limited stores/services within it. Work, doctors, etc, are so far beyond the 15 minutes that driving is a necessity. Groceries are out to lunch price wise at the local Sobeys, so Costco it is for the brunt of grocery shopping, and cheaper gas, too. Oh, no gas stations in this area. What about -30 with a wind chill of -42? Public sidewalks icy and drifted, you need groceries. What a joke. What about seniors? How do they manage? The disabled? No, you can take this 15 minute idea and shove it.
We already have conviences within 15minutes of us so why force an area on us? We need LESS government interferrence not more of them. 15 minute cities is a circle type area that one can walk or bike around. They want us to find work, and friends within our own 15 radius. If we need to leave we would have to get permission or purchase a ticket. It's the most tyrannical idea for a modern society.
Municipal governments already interfere with strict bylaws and zoning rules that don’t allow the free market to operate freely as it once did. 15 minute cities (in theory) remove a lot of that red tape.
15 minute cities are a trap, if it was just about providing everything you need within 15 minutes is one thing, the fact that they limit your mobility using technology and fines says everything you need to know.
Of course the 15 minutes cities are bad. First of all it is coming from the WEF and I am surprised to see True North defending anything that is coming from WEF . OMG don’t let them do that. It’ll be like living in jail. At some point you will have to get permission to travel outside your area. They will keep track of how many miles you travelled and how often. If you reached your limit you will be denied. You will also not own a vehicle. It will have to be rented from the government if your trip is approved. Etc, etc.
The thing that bothers me about the concept of the 15 minute city is that they are saying that everything you NEED will be accessible within a 15 minute walk. I have a problem with the government (or anyone in that matter) dictating to me what I need in life and using compulsion to force me into whatever lifestyle they deem appropriate for me. It is a blatant assault on Canadian rights and freedoms. No one voted for these policies, no one asked for them, yet a group of people who think they know better have gotten together and decided this is how people are going to live.
I'm all for small neighborhood stores like we used to have, and buying local whenever possible. Local meat, and local greenhouse grown veggies and fruit. I'm all for a strong local economy. Of course the old neighborhood stores were priced out of existence by the large chain stores, so would this mean a Walmart in every neighborhood? Id rather see a good local farmers market in each quadrant, it would be a short drive , but still doable on a bike, at least in 3 seasons, 4 if you have studded bike tires. But I see the point Chris Sky is making, and like him I have no trust in our Governments. When its being pushed on the people rather them coming to exist organically, then you know there is an agenda, and its usually in someone else's best interest, no ours.
It won’t be like your ideal at all. Think you will have a pharmacy, hospital, fire station, police station, library, physio, enough grocery stores, liquor stores, pool, gym, etc you are nuts. This is a gerbil jail for humans. You will be fed what they allow in. You will be clothed with what they allow depending on how good you are and how many digital points you still have left. You won’t be living in your home, you will live where you are assigned and you will work at what you are told to. Don’t like it, tough. The robot dogs will make certain you don’t exit. Too far fetched? Read their plans, it’s all there

As an unvaccinated citizen, my biggest fear is that our mobility will be linked to our health passport. I live in St. Albert, my parents who I care for live in Sherwood park, my in-laws live in the country and are currently dealing with terminal cancer and my kids are going to be living in Edmonton while they attend post-secondary. If my mobility is limited, all of these people who rely on my help will be in crisis. Also forgot to mention that I own a cleaning business that services rental properties all over Edmonton and surrounding area. How do businesses deal with this? Do we have to pay for permits? How would have it feel being limited to the lowest level/highest crime zone. If you were born in a crappy zone, is that your caste? What would that do to a child’s chances of ever crawling out of that zone. Definitely gives me Hunger Games vibes. This plan will further destroy social cohesion.
Not many people like single source contracts, especially to an insider. The CBC would have some credibility, presently they have none, if they would report the hundreds of single source contracts for little or no work that the LPC has handed out to friends, relatives and party favourites.

First, I should say I'm in Calgary, so I'm watching with a somewhat detached interest at this point. I have no problem of course with having most services being available within a 15 minute walk or bike ride. My concern begins if they start penalising people for leaving their zone or restricting the type of vehicle they're allowed to drive. I believe freedom to move and to choose is important. Education, not legislation, should be used to influence people's behaviour and then let them decide for themselves.
Everything is already within 15 mins bike ride...... all needs. Its not like they can make every private business open a location every 15 mins. So this is just a way to remove mobility
Fifteen minute cities are coming for sure . People will need them after they take away all the cars . They are not planning on truly transitioning to electric cars , that's a sky hook . The globalists know this is not possible for more reasons than l will mention here .
I think if the 15 minute city idea was implemented 20 years ago it would have been fine. But now, in 2023, with all the authoritarianism and government supervision, I suspect this would have consequences.
Premier Smith lol Do you think she is more powerful than the centuries-old satanic cult that has been accumulating power for the past fifty years? Premier Smith will be run over like a skunk. If you don't want to live in the coming nightmare, you need to get the hell out of Canada while you still can.
A VOLUNTARY 15 minute city would be a great thing. A MANDATORY 15 minute city would be atrocious. 2 years ago I spent some vacation time in Alberta, with some time and Edmonton and Calgary. I was horrified by Edmontonian and Calgarian authoritarianism during Covid. The rest of the province was fabulous.
Ya agreed. Nothing wrong with having things within 15 minutes. It's when the sick psyhcos want to take it further to enslave us This will be their huge Faux Pax as I think the majority will not tolerate this But The Real Rukshan in Australia just found out they are recruiting outside military to come to Australia to police their and.... these people don't have to apply for citizenship! Think Freedom Convoy on the day Trudeau unleashed the police force that were NOT Canadian police and we all think they were UN police made to brutalized peaceful Canadians
Your fellow Canadians are nothing more but drooling livestock. Tyranny and enslavement is coming, and there's not a damn thing you can do to stop it. Get out of the pen while you still can.
Your freedom of movement is t very free when you consider to have that ability to drive you have to be a certain age and spend roughly 10,000$ a year to own a car.

Do NOT TRUST the Govt - Liberal or NDP - NEVER TRUST Them. Danielle Smith is a HERO for Alberta and in Canada. 15 Minutes Cities - FULL CONTROL by WEF and Friends - NO No NO
I'm in Montreal, the city is quietly doing all it can to restrict car use, the end result is that nobody can visit their friends/relatives from outside the sity in some areas because parking is so limited. and there are businesses that we like in other part of the cities we are effectively barred from going to because it has just become too much trouble to park near just to get a small something. So these businesses are closing and the local services from the 15-min city are vanishing.
It's about control it's about knowing where you are at all times. Is let's face it when you have the next Pandemic you're gonna be very easy to find you get vaccinated
At any other time, having amenities within a fifteen minute walk would sound appealing. As it stands now, I would trust any government to not go full blown authoritarian on our a**es.
On the 15-minute cities issue, we need to look at what is happening in Britain right now, proposed for Oxford, Canterbury, Bath, Edinburgh, and many other places. Cities divided into districts, cameras everywhere monitoring when vehicles cross boundaries between those districts, with (Oxford) only 100 crossings per year allowed before every crossing attracts a ~50 pound fine. This is a great way for municipalities to make money! Traffic is already becoming much more congested and often hopelessly gridlocked, so travel times extend, and pollution gets worse. Removal of parking and closure of streets has been disrupting businesses because their customers can no longer get to them. This is likely to be an even bigger problem in Canada, because population densities are so much lower than in the UK or Europe: in many situations, it is unlikely that there will be enough custom to support all retail services which it is proposed should be available. Certainly not as neighbourly small stores, as proponents tend to suggest--maybe as banks of cashless vending machines made accessible through QR-ID codes and facial recognition, as touted in China. Or at some point we may all be told that if our districts cannot support the suppliers we need, well, we must just order online from Amazon and have our goods delivered by drones. The potentials for coerced, dystopian inefficiency are enormous in these cases. In the UK, through preliminary defining of LTNs (Low Traffic Neighbourhoods), restrictions are already trapping people who are not able to walk or cycle for everything (older, disabled, women having to manage small children) and creating problems for both business traffic and emergency vehicles and public transit. And bottom line: a lot of the dystopian potentials here can't be called conspiracy theories. The organizations promoting them--start with the WEF and C40 Cities--are perfectly naked about what they want to impose on the world: No private cars Diets all plant-based (C40 cities are to aim for no more than 16 kg meat per person per year) No more than 3 new pieces of clothing per year ...and once you have a cashless system with digital ID, you can be shut down at any time under a Chinese-style social credit system. I don't care how prettily any level of government tries to paint these initiatives, the handwriting is up too boldly and clearly on too many organizations' Internet walls, the potentials for them to end up imprisoning and coercing us is just too clear. After the way our freedoms have been abused the past 3 years, there is no way to trust any level of government. There are just too damn many nannying authoritarians around, determined to restrict us "for our own good".
I hope everyone realises that ANYTHING at all can be done with the land outside the 15 mins of vision from these places! Future generations will wonder if our lives today were even real.
During Covid many of the small businesses died and the large grew with profits. I grew up with the convenience stores, places close to home and I enjoy that convenience when 15 minute cities were normal. Then big companies took over and the neighbourhood places almost disappeared. Now they want to go back to what we had. Climate change is controlled over 50% by China and India emissions not by North America or Europe. And the Sun goes through cycles but the government never talks about the sun or those countries that are major contributor to our climate. However, the government has shown us it’s about control.
If you agitate against it, you will be branded mentally ill and referred to MAID. Your forms will be filled out after your heart has stopped, and your family will be informed only after your body has grown cold in the morgue. That is the future Canada has coming. Your options are to escape while you still can, or be enslaved for the rest of your life.
Do you think it will be "mom and pop" type businesses near your house like in the 40s 50s and 60s or corporate franchises? 15 minute cities are the next round of control measures and must be stopped.
There are those of us who enjoy driving, who find that having a vehicle spells FREEDOM to go where we feel like going, on a whim. The idea of having “amenities” close and having to walk or cycle to reach them is not appealing in the least. And yes, what better way to keep everyone under the watchful eye of Big Brother.
There are lots of 15 min communities, they're called neighborhoods. We can leave them when ever we want which is our right. The problem with these 15 min communities is they have been politicized. The governments agenda is to reduce ones travel for near net zero target. They have had it in Calgary for a while now. Its the East village and its setup to be just that way. The good thing is that you don't have to live there if you don't want, its still Canada and you can live wherever you want.
It's about stripping us from our cars and making life with a car uncomfortable as possible. Politicians have blindly followed the drum beat of the eco-maniacs and think they are virtuous because of it
I believe that the concept of 15 min cities is in reality the framework of infrastructure for the possible future of a surveillance state, leaving those within them susceptible to further control by the implementation of social credit systems, digital ids, travel restriction and control over the access of goods and services. Rather than oversite, planning and design by those in power with additional rules, how about deregulation on zoning and construction to allow the growth of small business in these areas so that community demands can be met through free market principals. Sadly governments of any type seem to always want more power and enrichment through taxation and control rather than deregulation or the enforcement of existing policy or systems.
Calgary's municipal gov't sent out a survey back in 2021 that was voluntary to fill out. It asked about such things like, how many cars in a house hold, where would you travel in a day, how far do you estimate you drive a day, where do you shop, how long do you drive, how many times do you visit some one in a week etc. Looks harmless but all they really want is to control where and what you do in a day.
We already have 15 minute cities. In any city in Alberta I can access everything I need in 15 minutes - by car. The free market naturally creates the 15 minute radius. We don’t need it forced on us. It is not a proper function of urban land use bylaws to radically change what is already working. The only reason to change anything is if the intent is to take away my vehicle.
Edmontonians need to get real about 15 minute cities. Talk off the BS glasses and recognize what is happening in the world. I hope everyone wakes up before their rights and freedoms are gone. I am so sick of Edmonton city council. Sold their souls and Edmontonians to be in the WEF Club.
Once the cameras are installed it'll be easy to turn the tracking on & off. It's the thin edge of the wedge everybody! Wake the f*ck up people! Wake the f*ck up people!
We studied this concept way back in the 1970's. It looks great in theory but, by then cities had become so large that implementing this would have been impossible without massive urban renewal projects costing billions of dollars. Somebody's got to pay for it.
They will have heavy fines, that will be recognized by the people. It's not about you it's about them. You will have to police your neighbors. Government is not helping, but will still get paid.
They would create jurisdictions, assign you a "ward" or "block" and you would likely need a form of travel ID or a ticket to visit another block (communism anyone?) It would quickly go from being about convenience to supporting new initiatives with added taxes and fees relating to your "carbon footprint" when you travel outside your new open air prisons

There are a great number of experts who disagree with this model. There is no such thing as a one size fits all model. People are unique, and the solutions to their problems need to be tailored to the individual. As a recovered addict, this model is one that did not work for me.
How about a 6x8 cell for those who propose 15 min. cities . Everything is a stones throw away. They want to create prisons . It starts small then they just tighten the grip .

no 15 minute cities. if they slit up the cities already formed, how will you have access to everything you need. what about rich areas we won't be able to go there. what about being able to move to places you want to live or work. family members that live away from you. you can't see them when you want. there is so many problems with this also it just another way to control people.
I will not participate in any WEF 15 minute cities. I will sell everything and leave the country let alone, the city or the province!!! Welcome to 1984!
The real question to ask about the 15 minute city is about density. How many people are supposed to live in a one mile square area? 25,000 or 50,000 or 100,000?! That is the real issue. It’s being sold as quaint and convenient with really glossy photos. Trust has been lost because all levels of government are not accountable.
No, I don’t agree with the 15 minute cities, they are part of this plan that the WEF has. The people that live in that city have to work in its shop visit do everything they want to do within that 15 minutes city. In my understanding, they’re allowed to leave the city only a certain number of times a year. Now having everything at your fingertips does sound good but I don’t like what it’s going to represent in the coming future along with the digital IDs digital currency and now the WEF is calling to ration meet for people. When do you think this is going to go
With regards to the notion of "15 minute cities" proposed for any municipality in North America: If my city had mostly "mixed use" zoning with medium rise apartment blocks with ground floor retail like most of Europe and Asia I'd think it would be possible to implement, yes possible ... however; I'd still have reservations if there's going to be all these prohibitions/restrictions that are rumored to be in the works, I mean don't the people get their say in a democracy (like is this a non-binding ideal to shoot for or a set of controls to implement harshly)? That said, let's be clear to point out that nearly all North American cities are sprawling masses of single family detached homes sitting in exclusively single use residential zones necessitating car usage (things are too spread out horizontally, stores and services are quite far away from the 'burbs i.e. literally nothing is 15 minutes away by foot for most and by design I might add! A legacy if you will, not going to get into that). If zoning is not changed en masse this will never work, unless they're going to implement it gulag style (it still won't work, I suspect ulterior motives eh?). If you change the zoning I surmise it could take maybe 30-50 years of gradual market shift towards more efficiency if people even want this. Also do investors/builders want to build more densely populated rental projects when eviction laws in a lot of jurisdictions make the whole idea rather undesirable? Assuming they try to force implement the nasty version, well this is where all the trouble starts. Just springing 15 minute cities on North Americans out of the blue, it's practically terrorism! What are all the multitudes of home equity holders and yes car owners (i see you Chris Sky!) supposed to think? I'm all for making the cities more efficient (just look at some in the Netherlands, Spain or Vietnam on UA-cam or Google maps - Street View) but this can't reasonably be done here in N.A. overnight. So I should dust myself off from the shock and honestly laughter, and try to learn more about what is actually proposed. But in Edmonton after Blatchford especially I already have little confidence in the last batch of planners, Lord help us with the WEF affiliated/infiltrated ones. Heh I hope my points are intelligible, struggling with this currently...

I think if you have the option of having everything close to you and not needing to drive, that's great. But if it's forced on you to live that way and you no longer have the option to drive to other places, that is tyranny.
You live an impoverished life if you can walk to everything in 15 minutes.
If everything is 15 minute away, you're going to feel real depressed with how small and boring your life is
It sounds beautiful at first thought until you really understand the prison they want to force the peasants into. Of course the elite's will not put themselves unders these restrictions.

NO TO 15 MINUTE CITIES!!!!!
Not 15 minute cities. 15 minute prison zones.
A woman in England is facing thousands in fines for visiting her son in the hospital. Outside her prison zone.
Where in England?
@Gordon Gramiak not sure about the city for this poor woman, but Oxford England is a 15 min city.
Yup, saw the Cameras in London last summer; they were activated during covid. Out of your zone in your car, then pay a hefty fine.

That is the idea. Too cold to walk? You will stay home.
The WEF intends to "shove it" right down the SERFS throat.
You need to think in political terms, not rational terms.

OMG don’t let them do that. It’ll be like living in jail. At some point you will have to get permission to travel outside your area. It will have to be rented from the government if your trip is approved. Etc, etc.
A bad move. We don't want it
Guess who does?
Well said!

With 15min cities and digital ID, it all comes down to trust. The people in charge have shown us they are untrustworthy.
I’m sure the day will come when they start assigning people their districts as well
First, I should say I'm in Calgary, so I'm watching with a somewhat detached interest at this point.
15 minute cities have absolutely nothing to do with convenience or carbon...they are the beginning of our demise. Watch.
It gets even better. You don't get to choose your own path.
Dont worry it will be coming to a city near you

Fifteen minute cities are coming for sure . People will need them after they take away all the cars . They are not planning on truly transitioning to electric cars , that's a sky hook . The globalists know this is not possible for more reasons than l will mention here .
I think if the 15 minute city idea was implemented 20 years ago it would have been fine. But now, in 2023, with all the authoritarianism and government supervision, I suspect this would have consequences.

At any other time, having amenities within a fifteen minute walk would sound appealing. As it stands now, I would trust any government to not go full blown authoritarian on our a**es.
Don’t do it
On the 15-minute cities issue, we need to look at what is happening in Britain right now, proposed for Oxford, Canterbury, Bath, Edinburgh, and many other places.
The organizations promoting them--start with the WEF and C40 Cities--are perfectly naked about what they want to impose on the world:
No private cars
Diets all plant-based (C40 cities are to aim for no more than 16 kg meat per person per year)
No more than 3 new pieces of clothing per year
...and once you have a cashless system with digital ID, you can be shut down at any time under a Chinese-style social credit system.

Politicians have blindly followed the drum beat of the eco-maniacs and think they are virtuous because of it
Right out of the WEF playbook.
Have fun in your 15min citys ill keep my family out in the suburbs
Ueah stay in Edmonton. Ill drive from MB and enjoy Jasper park in a more quiet environment.

They would create jurisdictions, assign you a "ward" or "block" and you would likely need a form of travel ID or a ticket to visit another block (communism anyone?)
It would quickly go from being about convenience to supporting new initiatives with added taxes and fees relating to your "carbon footprint" when you travel outside your new open air prisons

She has lied her way into office by stringing along the unvaccinated voters and then she just dumped them on the side of the road.
Any idea put forward by the WEF should be condemned 15min cities are one of them.
There are a great number of experts who disagree with this model. There is no such thing as a one size fits all model. People are unique, and the solutions to their problems need to be tailored to the individual. As a recovered addict, this model is one that did not work for me.
What makes them EXPERTS ? Practical EXPERIENCE or A PIECE OF PAPER ?
Screwing us with our own money.
These 15 min cities are just a small slice of the great reset.."You will own nothing and be happy!"
How about a 6x8 cell for those who propose 15 min. cities . Everything is a stones throw away. They want to create prisons . It starts small then they just tighten the grip .
Of course the 15 minutes cities are bad. First of all it is coming from the WEF and I am surprised to see True North defending anything that is coming from WEF . World Economic Forum were the artisans of the lockdowns and vaccine passports, and digital ID and the great reset and the list goes on... . As time goes by, I realize that True North is just another shill for the World economic Forum. I'm not sure I'm seeing how that would work for Rural Canadians
They will just kick you off your land and you won't have any choice about where you live.
The plan is you won't be living rural in the future.
we all know what the real behind the scenes objective is with 15 minute cities/ smart cities , we only need to look to the wef stated plans and the oxford 15 minute city planning to see what the governments around the world are all working towards , sometimes good intentions lead to bad things
Find out about fines and or taxes if you drive from one 15 minute city to another. In Ontario the premier 's office has already said that there will be a tax if you go over your carbon quota
A 15 minute city is nothing less or more than a concentration camp
The problem stems from politicians trying to force 15 minute cities by legislation rather than let it happen naturally out of convenience.
Chris Sky is right.
Correct ❤
This is so silly we used to have 15 min cities before it became to expensive for small business
A breath of fresh air, compared to so many politicians out there.
It's a bad idea!!! 🤬🤬 I live outside in a rural area. I live 20 mins "drive" from the city. I'm ok with that. If 15 min Cities, (walking) happens I will be forced to move when I do not want to EVER live in a City.
this country turned out to be so f up in the last couple of years that it's so unreal....let's hope theirs is a change soon
There will not be a change. Your options are to escape Canada while you still can, or remain and become enslaved forever.
Not about convenience, all about control
no 15 minute cities. if they slit up the cities already formed, how will you have access to everything you need. what about rich areas we won't be able to go there. what about being able to move to places you want to live or work. family members that live away from you. you can't see them when you want. there is so many problems with this also it just another way to control people.
I will not participate in any WEF 15 minute cities. I will sell everything and leave the country let alone, the city or the province!!! Welcome to 1984!
15 minute cities 🙄😤
Hope this can be stopped.
With these people in charge, it is totally for more control. Combined it with Digital ID and you have the perfect prison .
When do you think this is going to go
I support incentives to take public transir, bike downtown, but oppose blocking off of major streets to vehicles or punitive measures against drivers
With regards to the notion of "15 minute cities" proposed for any municipality in North America:
If my city had mostly "mixed use" zoning with medium rise apartment blocks with ground floor retail like most of Europe and Asia I'd think it would be possible to implement, yes possible ... however; I'd still have reservations if there's going to be all these prohibitions/restrictions that are rumored to be in the works, I mean don't the people get their say in a democracy (like is this a non-binding ideal to shoot for or a set of controls to implement harshly)?
The WEF Doesn'tCare about ZONING.
Also why are 15 minute cities happening worldwide at the same time.? 🤨
