@@theappalachiachannel Thank you for the reply JD. Her voice is lovely, I thought she might be Martha Borg but okay to it being exclusive to this channel.
Sam did not go into Preaching expecting an easier life, money, and fine things. He had a true calling. Without a strong woman believing in him, he may never have asked, studied and succeeded. Thank you for this story. You wrote and read it very well.
The tent revival’s was interesting while growing up yes actual tents and hot nights I still wouldn’t trade this for anything, I even witnessed my big sister getting baptized along with her friend at a church wonderful memories
Listened to this after coming home from my own church that was filled with the power of the precious Holy Spirit. The worship and the preaching were strong and sweet to my soul, and real meat and potatoes, only to come home and feast on some dessert listening to this blessed story. What a blessed Sunday it is indeed! Thank you Thank you JD! God bless you!
Many thanks, Sarah and JD, for sharing such an inspiring story. Some of the most spiritual messages that I've ever heard came from God called country preachers ,who never attended a seminary . I loved your choice of music and songs. Have a blessed Sunday. God bless..
Amen 🙏 this country needs more preaching and preachers like Sam nowadays Amen 🙏. This world is on borrowed time it’s not going to last any longer Amen 🙏. To much sin and evil in this world.
I love the songs and singer. I would love to buy a cd of just the music. I was singing right along and feeling the Holy Spirit inside my soul. Well done JD, well done.
Yup, a little teary eyed. A wonderful story full of faith and hope. But also I couldn't help but think of all the 20 year olds, past, present, and future and the hope and excitement of starting a new lives with all those hopes, dreams, and love. This was a good one, JD
@@theappalachiachannel thank you. Keep these stories coming friend. You tell these tales so well it feels like the characters are my friends, family, and neighbors.❤

Ahh JD! Thank you for such a heartwarming story, especially on a Sunday! This was just beautiful! Made me tear up! Your wife sounded strong of and in character! Bless you both! Have a wonderful Sunday.
JD, that was a very good heartwarming story. It had by heart beating for joy, while I got a little teary eyed. I love your music ❤. You’ve always been able to not only have good music, but your presentation, sound effects. Back at you JD, well done brother, well done 👍
@@theappalachiachannel You are the kind ones! I think sometimes we forget how much work goes into making one of these videos and so that’s why I’m very very very grateful for all the hard work that you do to give us the pleasure of watching your videos
Sam was a individual and his ways of being a pastor was different from his grandads and his way was different than the fire and brimstone like most but they said the same message about God just different paths with the same results salvation through Christ
Remember that wolves come in sheep’s clothing mostly fancy clothes. I went to a small church best time ever, as well as other churches with family friends and I grew up going to every other Wednesday night and just having a wonderful time going. I miss that I’m on a new journey with the lord and it’s been a interesting journey this so far

What a wonderful story. It's sad there were no loving stepmothers in the mountains and seems not many loving actual mothers. Is this just the bent of your stories?
What is the gospel song about the gospel way that I hear parts of on your channel. I would love to hear it in full if there is a recording of it somewhere.
@@theappalachiachannelI really like it. Thank you for the reply. I have Appalachian roots, my great great great grandfather was from Greene county Tennessee They wound up in Missouri , then in Oklahoma where I was born. I watch all of your videos plus more and my parents and my brothers and sisters still had some of the accents and ways with words that the Appalachian people have. All my brothers and sisters but one sister have all passed. And I was hoping that I could have someone sing that at my funeral sometime in the future. Again thank you for your videos and God bless you.
