- With 14 editions of Paris-Roubaix under his belt, Mathew Hayman was training full gas for the 2016 Spring Classics season when he sustained a broken arm at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad. Only 6 weeks out from Paris-Roubaix Mat's confidence was at an all time low until he discovered Zwift.

Best moment in Australian sport in the last 30 years and most Australians probably don't know about it. Go Matty!
I dunno. Steven Bradbury takes some beating.
ahh. both are good but in different ways!
One of the best moments in world sports! Still gives me a chill to think of it. Long live Mathew Haymen!
Andrew Whittaker Stuart o'grady also won this race..great history for all involved.
Andrew Whittaker Not Australian, how would Cadel’s tour win stack up?
Fair play to Boonen on the podium, a genuine smile for a worthy winner
Just watched this again! Tomorrow is the 2019 Paris-Roubaix. Every time I see either this clip or the Orica Backstage clip it brings tears to my eyes. THE MOST deserved win EVER of Paris-Roubaix!
The moment when Durbo comes to congratulate him always brings tears to my eyes.
Every time I watch this clip, it feels like the cycling version of Rocky!! I met MH a few yrs ago in NYC, he was so humble and gracious!! Glad he won that classic & used Zwift to prepare for it!!
Rember watching this live gives me goose bumps every time good video
Love seeing he has the bike mounted on the wall. Keep it just like that. Museum piece.
I still watch this race when I am on my trainer, sometimes in English and sometimes in French. It's one of the most amazing races. Matt was also awesome in Gent-Wevelgem 2015, even though he didn't win. Anyone who finished that was a winner.
Crazy story, what a day it was!
Watching this three years later on the eve of the 2019 race and it still gives me goosebumps. Ergo master Matt Hayman Paris-Roubaix winner. Legend!
Thank you for amazing motivation, such a LEGEND
Paris Roubaix is not called for nothing the Hell of the North and Hayman rode that 17 times, including the 2002 in the rain and mud. The 2016 win was super hard, exciting to watch (check other videos!), and well deserved for Hayman. One tough and humble guy!
Great performance, what a rider! Obstinacy and perseverance were what led him to this win. He managed to keep training and focusing on the races to come while people around him thought it was over. Huge congrats to this brave guy! The BSP of that day is such an emotional one, I've seen it a few times since then, but the emotions and goosebumps are still as strong as the live race.
Ride On Mat, Ride On Zwift.... Gave me goose bumps
I remember being so excited and emotional watching the end of that race. Amazing to have another Australian win it and no one deserved it more.
Truly inspirational story! Rode his workout today the first time and it killed my legs..
