beste band aller zeiten aber was sie sich hier gedacht haben keine ahnung ...aber bei so viel pech muss man auch mal glück haben...reading ...und wenn jim nicht so krank geworden wäre hätten die in den 80igern noch mehr abgeräumt ❤
It was the 1970's.. innocent times...this was being played at nearly all the disco's and parties, especial school disco's... This song has been covered by many, even punk bands...so take a breath and see it as a laugh, as it was intended.
Yes, I never felt snooty about it like so many seem to. On the other hand, it is a bit sad. I seriously don't think they'd have released the 'Okey Cokey' if their last few singles hadn't bombed.
@@heraldeventsandfilms5970 sorry. I didn't mean to strike a nerve and upset your delicate thin-skinned sensibilities, Nancy. Put your dress back on a STFU
hi ,do you possibly have the whole edition of this episode of get it together ,would love to see the performance of The TSD,s dancing to circus ,great song ,song on the wind ,that was shown on this edition ,many thanks
They had a huge resurgence following their unexpected appearance at the 1980 Reading Rock festival and hit the No.2 slot in 1983 stopped touring around then and split around 1992 their last hit was 1991 Radio Wall of Sound
+Slade were probably at rock bottom by 1979. From being the biggest band in Britain from 1971-74 they declined very dramatically after deciding to spend a year in America in 1975. Coming back to the punk revolution saw the band unable to get a top 40 hit and were on the verge of splitting up until the glorious comeback at Reading in 1980
Slade did some great songs. This is not one of them. They must have been completely out of inspiration and ideas at the time to even consider recording this ☹️

They are not bothered about making complete fools of themselves
This is why I like Slade so much.🥰
Both Slade and the punk bands were loud, simplistic and fun despite their different genres. Wish that rock'n'roll could be as fun as this again! :)
This song played at New Year's Eve parties brings the house down no matter what the ages of those present, then and now. I know. I was there!
One of the best bands ever been
Brilliant

@@scottrogers2971 Lol right? Man, some people are fooking twats.
This song has no business being recorded by any rock or pop act.
@slaphead59 Thanks for your comment, don't have a better quality one of My Baby's Got It than the one that's already on youtube.
Once we leave the European Union, let's make this version of the hokey cokey the National Anthem of the United Kingdom.
Naw
Noddy Holder dressed as Arthur Daley

Great band sadly eclipsed by progressive rock in the late 70s and synth pop in the 80s.. they should have tried again in the 90s
They had a revival in the mid 80's, and then tried to continue into the 90's but split up in 1991.

Are you serious? And to think this is only a couple of years from their historical moment at the reading festival.

My favourite band when I was younger but this does seem to be the low point of their career.
A insult to there talent this song, they should of got it's oright by me or don't waist my time, back seat star, as singles at that time, 79 to 80,
This lifelong diehard SLADE maniac has to ask; was this embarrassment NECCESSARY ?

Dreadful, what were thinking about?
kyllä hymy huulille ilmestyi
now everybody search song "huugi guugi"
bit silly for Slade standards....
Absolute garbage from the best band ever... They would have been better off splitting after WHTS with their reputation intact.
One of my favourite bands...……… this is absolute RUBBISH!
It's not even that good... From rock gods to rock bottom.
I agree with you. They were pretty desperate by this stage.
Love Slade but this is bloody awful!! : (
Im cringing now 😬
