RR Mohan Kumar Maruti has tagged themselves as the popular brand with great resale value... moreover it is very difficult for people to get over the mind set that TATA cars are taxis or cheap cars. Tiago and Nexon are the finest of the cars with a very good pricing... but even within my family I am unable to convince them to buy a Tata car....
I also bought my first TATA car with a mind set... “first car... let it be simple n cheap” then after using it realised the worth of it...

Sir, we did a test drive and noticed that there is vibration in engine that u feel when placing hand in gear when vehicle is idle. Is that expected... as they say it’s test vehicle and u won’t face this in new vehicle
Karunagaran M No this issue will be there in all Tiagos... In first service they do some sort of rectification by putting some plastic tie. But that won’t make any difference... the same vibrations in test drive vehicle will be there

Anna, I m 6'2 .. is the driver seat good for this height? I am going for xz model which doesn't have height adjustment, only in top end model xz+ they are giving height adjustment. prashanth pp Polo is superb car... it is priced high for the features provided by its competitors. Also the Milleage is considerably low due to its weight and maintenance cost is slightly high. But performance wise it’s a beautiful car to drive..

Kalaimani Rajamanickam it will definitely not be a problem... however it would be a a disappointment for people who love drive fast with quick torque power. You may get some extra torque when you switch on the sports driving mode on AMT. But for calm peaceful drivers it’s very apt n good.

The engine is good and peppy to drive... but the engine noise will be slightly high... actually I like that engine sound... car looked and sounded muscular!

What you had heard was true when I had this car... Not sure if Tata has already addressed this issue. Nevertheless, it is not that big a problem. For me it felt nice to have that vibration

Binny Mathai it’s a comfortable car to drive long trips... the car feels grounded and in control. AC cooling was good... but after 1 yr my AC unit got repaired... TATA repaired it free of cost...

Tiago and Swift are both good choices. Swift would be slightly more spacious than Tiago. And if ur regular travel is within the city.. then Swift is better choice.

Mileage wise tiago petrol has the downside very mild driving on highway gives even 23-25 kmpl but remember u should be very very gentle on the throttle .on a normal driving with ac on in highway we can get 17kmpl when we drive aggressively drops below 15kmpl .normal driving in city conditions mild traffic 10-12 kmpl heavy traffic below 10 kmpl....most important thing the mileage shown in display is not the actual mileage almost 3 kmpl less will be the actual mileage which I have checked many time with tank fill method .i own a tiago petrol xz from March 2018. Tiago petrol is a very good car with good features except for the mileage...

1. It’s mechanically operated
2. Over a period of time opening and closing get rough
3. The roof doesn’t open completely... like govt bus, roof can be only partly opened and no one can put their head outside
4. The roof stability goes for a toss, thereby less safe.
5. The LED light needs to be removed from its place and needs to be shifted elsewhere.
6. The roof glass needs to be cleaned regularly and nicely, else the dirt would be seen shabbily.

The seating position for 6.2ft height is comfortable.
You would hardly take your car on highway... n in highway mostly 5 of you would be travelling... the body rolling would be less felt due to weight of 5pax.
Within city, you get good mileage for WagonR when compared to Tiago
For 5 ppl Tiago would feel compressed inside.
Plus about Tiago...
you also have to judge one thing... how often all 5 would travel together? All 5 would be once in a while only... so at that time only you have to adjust... other than that Tiago is a solid car were u will enjoy driving it... but don’t get confused on this... for your priorities and usage.. WagonR should be good.
