You are better than that robot and robot operator. However robot can run multiple welds at once, and in the right circumstances one person can run multiple robots. better fixtures make tacking not an issue. You’re an amazing welder and I enjoy watching your videos. I am an Aerospace welder with a specialty in robotics so I really enjoyed this video. ❤
I’ve been a subscriber for a while now, and unfortunately I have to be honest and say that I usually don’t click on your thumbnails or your titles. But in saying that, I felt it was good for you to know that this one certainly peaked my interest. I also think you should know that I follow for entertainment value and not so much on how to value just so you understand where I come from as an audience member. This was very cool to watch, and I think could make a great mini series as far as entertainment goes! Thanks for repping the Northwest proudly!
When you weld with robots it's not for looks, it's for speed. What I've come to notice in life is most people/owners of companies and people who don't weld, don't pay any attention to welds.
Those robots can sense heat and all that shit. We might be out of jobs. I know he said that tacking in shit by humans and whatnot is better. But the machines are starting to get better. They just can't do custom stuff yet.
Major difference between you and a robot. You take pride in your work. And you can adjust on the fly much better than most robotic welders. A robot has no pride. And most of there human programers. (absolutely no disrespect meant here) are just worried about production rates and acceptable finished results. At least that's what I saw when I was working with welding robots in a factory. I'm absolutely positive there are robot programers that do take pride in there work. However I believe most are being pushed by production rate demands to do good enough not best possible.
The person that program the robot can look at the piece then adjust the program but the robot can change amps and taper off at the end. But the robot is going to be used to do production work another robot probably going to pick up that piece and put it somewhere else and bring another piece in and do it over and over and over
Youre kinda right. But you also wrong. aluminium is non reactive, it's not like stainless so the filler wire will be OK. So If this was stainless or titanium that would make sense but here it doesn't make as much sense, yeah the filler metal could cauliflower when it's melted outside the argon...but you could just clip it off.
The robot knows nothing. Its the programmers fault and he set it up wrong. We use fixtures to set everything in place. Our tooling department is constantly called to keep these monstrosities in place and working properly. We are constantly reprogramming to keep things working. I started off in CNC robotic welding. I was taught at the job. 2 years later I am now in another department and making more money. What a weird job arch within my company. I miss welding. And the amount of welds on our fixtures...you would have Zero chance of keeping up unfortunately. Which is why I got out of the industry. We have a relatively older system. Its a CNC Fanuc Welder. We had 6 of them and now we are down to 4. One robot outworks the 9 other bench welders we have. I would tell you the rest but I want to keep my job since companies these days are looking at employees social media. Who knows what they know. I love working for my company. Its a good company. But, HR in any company are a bunch of...
Robot can only weld what it is programmed to weld nothing else it does not have intelligence only does what program tells it to do that makes it good for repetitive production style welding always the same weld the same place

But does the robot dip the tungsten? ;-)

WOW! Man, you're one super talented artist. I'd say welder, but your skills go far beyond that.
Super comparaisons
Merci Dusty
Will you do a review on the typhoon 230 anytime soon?

You win! 🏁🏁🏁
👍good video man 👍
knowledge is key.
you're weld looks so much better.
Bend test each one let's see how it stands up
Modern Day John Henry 🤘🔥
4:28 mistake with filler rod. Taken away to quick.

The filler rod you can take out of the gas field with aluminum is the tungsten you need to worry about and he stayed still with that till the end
I don't think those are tacs I believe that piece of metal is off a plasma machine Those are relief cuts so it's easy to bend 90*
All about labour costs and that one person can run multiple robots .
I’m so bored of carbon steel welding. I want to do aluminum more.
nice job you R good
Would you reject the weld
Robotic welders will be cost effective in the manufacturing process where mass production is occurring.
your a southpaw 👍👍
to see which professional,... all the video the same picture of the weld and it talks a lot.

Im talking to someone in china from this company called BORDON-LAZER WELDERS. Are we going to be out of jobs?
Robot welder wins because they can't get cancer. 😅
BRO 😂💀
Trust me they can die
Or take breaks or need lunch or time off or medical leave or holiday pay. 😝
