All the things you mentioned you wanted to be, or try I didn’t hear you say “be a teacher”…but I sure have learned a lot from watching your videos the past month or so! I even bought a giant assortment of heirloom seeds for this upcoming Spring I’m so excited to try! Although I have 70 acres that borders 5900 acres of National Forest it’s in SC and I think I’m in zone H…..which is for HOT! 😂 Everything dries up here but pine trees and peach trees….so I’ve got to figure it out 🌱🌱🙂 thank you for the motivation!! I might start in a small raised bed and see how I do from there. You do a great job and are a fountain of knowledge!! 🐦🐦🌱🌱
I think people choose what they want to be when they try something then find out they can't live without doing it. My wife and I are introverts. So we don't do much besides farm our property. I think it's great you want to branch out and do all those things. My wife and I just started our homestead. We are " Heavenly Harvest Homestead " in Stone bluff Indiana. We just got approved for our NRCA high tunnel grant, thanks to you and all your info. So thank you Kim for that. One thing we do on our farm for the cucumber beetle is we make a hot sauce mixer, and I mean it's hot, there's no way a human could drink this stuff, we then put it in a sprayer and spray our plants about twice a week with it. It seems to work great. We haven't had any big pressure this year at all. Thanks again Kim your an awesome person and God Bless!
Hi Kim, I just discovered your videos a few days ago, and my first thought was..... if we lived in the same state and town we'd definitely be friends! Everything that your currently doing, is what I'm working so hard to get to. Saving for land, gardening as much as I can where I am, teaching myself new skills, learning as much as I can, so I can be as prepared as I can be, when I do get that dream accomplished. And I'm just like you, I want to do so much, learn so much, I have many many interests, all the same as you mentioned, lol! And I just saw a video where you said you deleted all your social media, but if you ever get back on, look me up. Having like minded people in my life is important, we are not singular people, we need community, and that's one thing I'm missing here, since I'm new to NW Arkansas. On another note, I too have been recording my adventures, everything I'm doing to get ready to farm, I've been putting short videos on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, and have so many videos still to edit for You Tube, but with that one, I'm trying to get past some insecurities, will anyone even care to watch? I'm like you enregards to negative feedback, hurtful words, so I think that has held me back from posting them on this platform yet. But hey, maybe one day I'll get past that, and you'll watch my channel? Who knows. I rarely leave comments on here, but I felt the need to reach out to you. You never know, maybe it'll lead to a collab, or better yet, friendship. Anyways, love your videos, keep being you girl!!
Yea I don’t go out anymore either, love my home. Never used stay home ever lol, now yes heart is where the home is. I learn quite a bit watchin ur vids. I am old, lmao, 64, led the rock n roll life, and now I like so many diff things that I never used to. I’ve gardened the last 3 years, and I love it, n the taste is soooo diff from the store. Each year I get get bigger. Anyways ,Thank You.
Hey there! Italians do grow tomato plants at the end of every grapevine rows. The tomatoes atract the pests (its kind of a sacrificial crop). I know from watching your videos that you don't spray anything, so you could probably try something like this to help with the pests...
I've been companion planting amaranth with all of my cucumbers and squashes for 2 years now. The beetles devour the amaranth and leave the cucumbers/squashes almost completely alone. And the amaranth still survive and make flower heads even after a lot of their leaves being eaten to lace. It's been my #1 organic pest control that actually works. Just an idea!
That was great. All very interesting with so many different projects going on there. What state are you in? I’m doing the same here. Lots of animals, 2 brown Swiss cows, just put in a 10,000 sf garden with rows. But I’m also going to try flowers along with veggies to sell. Just seeing what works & what doesn’t! I put in a drip irrigation system with garden hoses. Lots of hoses & the set up is complicated. One hose isn’t getting water. Seeing your sprinkler, I might just add a tall one to go over 1/4 of it & be done. Too hot here in Kansas now!!
I just half to tell you your husband is very lucky to have found a girl like you You have a very good vibe an want to experience so much in all your hobbies an life you are so busy my hats 🎩 off to you and your family
People seem to go in the direction of past experiences or interests. When the opportunity pops up you get busy. Sometimes it is done subconsciously. I wish I was doing natural/ organic 😢🎉❤farming you have a good helper there..😅
Yes, I too want all of those things. I also want to make gourd crafts, herb/spice blends, essential oils, baskets, cold processed soap, have a food truck, make pottery, paint rocks, paint, collect exotic plants and seeds, have an orchard, and many many many other things. I think this is a feature of AuDHD. ua-cam.com/video/7d1v5oCIOxo/v-deo.html
omg yes the gourds! I still have some from last year that I swore I was going to paint and I just put plants in the ground for this year 😂 also BASKETS. Im growing my own willow just so I can make baskets 😂
😂 ya, she should definitely let them destroy all her work. She said trap, not torture. It's perfectly humans to trap and relocate problem animals you freak.

Thank you for that tip on crispier veggies!!! So appreciated, I love a fresh crunchy cuc ✌🏼💕🌸
I’m ordering silver slicer seeds today. Thank you for your video!
Beetles are crazy this season in southwest Ohio also
In the high altitude, growing cooking is a lot of patience, but I'm a firm believer in the process
The LAB that you use to make mozzarella you can also give to your plants for more microorganisms in the soil (KNF)
I have cocktails in my garden also. Your garden is absolutely gorgeous!!! 🥰
Thank you Kim.

This specifically works for cucumber beetles for me, not really the squash vine borers though

Ducks are used as an effective way to control all types of pests, including cucumber beetles.
Wow cutiful ❤, really impressed from your amazing job & personality, bravo cutie 🎉, best wishes from Dubai 🎉
I forget, what brand are your large tunnel greenhouses? Also I planted silver slicers this year so I am excited to try them.!! Thanks for sharing!
You want to be a jack of all trades, master of none.
People seem to go in the direction of past experiences or interests. When the opportunity pops up you get busy. Sometimes it is done subconsciously. I wish I was doing natural/ organic 😢🎉❤farming you have a good helper there..😅
Making wine is one of the simplest things ever. Try it and you'll not regret it.

New to channel, what is CSA boxes?
CSA is community supported agriculture. It's basically a way of selling part of your harvest

You lost me at trap animals...that's animal cruelty.

No, it isn't.
